Hello Polly and everyone.

Indeed H21 is strong. All or almost all females are powerful and with enormous vital force but the males will have their moment and there we wait for H44 with his way of being with great courage and family sense.

I have seen new entries that I had not read in your 2022 introduction. Thanks for including my data. It also strikes me that Arnis Zacmanis is interested in the chickens he rings.

I have also seen a video of H92 in which he courts his partner (also young) following in the footsteps of his parents and in H21's home territory.

Greetings and see you tomorrow.

Good morning Emiliano,
I will deal with the descendants of the H's in the near future and fill the remaining reserved contribution. Thank you for the information you are sending me!

January 24.

Good morning together!

08:08:12 - 25 H21 is either very excited or already very hot in the grove.

08:09:04 the 'Gjak' already in the tree

09:45 from the lower position, H21 flutters onto the upper branch, calls.
She loosens her feathers and leaves the tree in '48.
Fast and silent ...

January 25.

Hello Emiliano, together :hi:

According to my observation, the day does not start with the usual contact calls but with a gentle 'Gjak'. :innocent:
08:49

Is that correct Emiliano?

10:20 Excited in distance

10:46 'Gjak' close now.

11:22 - 25 people (*)

14:03 H21 first, then hearing both of the couple... oh they talk so sweetly.
H21 so straight and probably H44 so dedicated.

14:04 H21 now louder.

14:08 -25 people (*)

14:43 Breaking in the tree

15:04 to hear both
'06 breaking in the tree
'10 'Gjak'
'13' breaking in the tree

*to persons
I've been seeing increasing activity by a group in the area for some time.
Alone today 3 times a day...loud, uncomfortable.

Sleep well!

No sign of the couple in the immediate vicinity.
Heard nothing...

Except for the youngsters - again. They come regularly from 11 - 12:00 and from 15:00.
They're loud, they're banging on something. throw things. :banghead:
The Goshawk are used to quite a bit of noise, but I'm not sure if this other unfamiliar commotion (several times a day now!) doesn't make the couple feel unsafe here.

I am angry.
I messaged LDF but well...

15:22 after the group left, a call was heard. In the woods.
(both present)

It's raining.

Emiliano, I greet you warmly! :innocent:

I'm a little concerned.
Is it a coincidence that the couple has retired since this group has become a regular roamer through the grove? (Previously with irregular regularity)
It may be a crucial phase in finding/deciding on a breeding site.

It's like a crime thriller!
Needless to say, the couple have their downtime. We know it. But now 3 days without a visible or audible near sign? Although they have already shown heat in their sounds?
And for 3 days the group has been going through here regularly.

They make noise that the animals are not used to.
I remember Alla, who frantically left the nest during some forestry work.
viewtopic.php?t=1068&start=440#p845236

The group does not leave the premises until 3:19 p.m., after staying at the couple's meeting point.
I recorded again.
Crucial points/places relevant to the couple.
We will have to be very excited about the development in the territory of our lovely H's...which now has roommates.
It will be interesting to see how high the bar of tolerance will be.

So I would have moved out. :rotf:

09:00 There were shouts in the distance

10:05 The woodpecker was here. :innocent:

10:31 'Gjak'

10:50/51 The Jay chirps and gurgles like a crow.

From 5:40 p.m. the cats’ hormones are also pumping up... :shake:
I often hear that kittens from May are more popular than fall cats. No idea why?
I love all cats.

Well, it stays that way - Team H is offline here on this channel.

There is a possibility that they are still there but carefully (silently and unobtrusively) observing their territory.
They seem so unobtrusive (or pulled away) that even the crows' guard doesn't pick up.

The next time will reveal it.
Let's go ...

January 28.

Good morning! :hi:

As in the last few days, the first calls come from a greater distance. But earlier today:
07:51/52

Until 09:00 there is the usual seagulls - crows - intermezzo.

09:14 and finally, with the nagging of a crow, a closer call is heard.
(probably H21 in the grove?)

09:18 Crackling in the undergrowth

Maybe today will be a better day and we'll see more Goshawk than off-road visitors.

10:20:07 - 10
Strange reputation.
Woodpecker? flight call?

'21:24 - 26
'21:35 - 38
again, but closer.

The H's have returned to the nest tree! :loveshower:

Next: '36:57 - 37:08
One can be seen flying low left at the start of the call sequence.

The couple back home:

10:49 Soft sounds become more intense and H21 flutters up into the nest from a lower position.
Image

She calls, pecks and jumps onto the side branch. Prancing... :innocent:
Image

Image

When she switches to the side branch, there is also movement on the lower floor. H44 also seems to be changing its position.

H21 loosens her feathers, switches positions on '52 and gives a 'Gjak'.

'56 H21 climbs higher

11:00 even higher

Good morning Polly.

Yes, they are again, as soon as I turn on the computer I see H21 in the nest. :loveshower:

A brief sound is heard at 10:50:25 as if it had company.
