after a while the eagles sang in the forest. it sounded as if they were in different places.

8:36:52 Milda brought a green twig. she worked lazily.

8:38 Voldis brought a stick. they worked...
8:39 Voldis began to sing to Milda... Milda called back, she refused. Voldis didn't seem to mind much.
8:40 Milda went to the top branch.

8:41 Voldis flew out.

8:44 Voldis brought a stick. he worked a little.

8:47 Voldis went hop-hop-hop to the upper left branch.
8:48 he flew out.

8:55 Milda saw something in the sky... she looked at it with long neck.

12:57:40 an eagle flew to the top.
13:04:40 the eagle flew away.
it was a young eagle: the tail didn't look 'clean'.

14:20:35 eagle's calls from far. this was an adult's voice, Milda?

14:28 Voldis brought hay. he worked a little. then he "made bed" and lay down on the nest for a while. then he worked more...
then he looked around...

14:35 Voldis saw something interesting in the sky. he looked at it with an unhappy face... actually he looked worried.

14:36 Voldis flew out and the brown baby flew in. Voldis escaped her!
correction: him! this looks like a boy.


Milda flew to the top and called. the baby escaped.
then the baby flew away over the swan pond.

is Milda still on the top? i don't think i have heard her leaving..?

this young eagle had a very dark beak.

the young eagle who visited the nest in the morning on Jan 24 had a beak which was almost yellow (at least in that light).


this eagle also looked like a girl with thick ankles.


the young eagle who visited yesterday had a dark beak, too. this was probably the same eagle as today.


today's young eagle was not the same eagle. the forest is full of young eagles.

14:55 Milda turned on the top. ... and she dropped down from the top.
she began to dig the nest.

14:56:35 Voldis flew from the left and landed on a spruce on the right at 14:56:48!


14:57:56 he flew off. Milda watched him fly by.

14:58 Voldis came with a spruce twig. they worked... and looked around...

15:00 jays made noise nearby... Milda kissed Voldis in rather friendly way.
15:01 Voldis sang a few notes but Milda was as if she heard nothing. Voldis stopped whatever he was planning to do.

15:04 Voldis started to sing in a more determined way but Milda stepped away from him. then she went to the top branch.


it is a bit too early for her.

both were looking around...
15:16 at last both relaxed. Milda started to preen and Voldis made bed... then he lay down.
15:20 Voldis dug the nest more. then he sat on the rim and looked around...

15:23 Milda took off. Voldis flew after her. both flew to the left by the Swan pond on its left side.

15:24 Milda flew back from the left side of the Swan Pond. she brought a small stick. she looked around...
15:26 loud rustling from below. that was a breaking branch again (?)
