19:08 f.:A WTE perches on a branch at the right - and instantly off again to the left.
19:10: I hear some crashing-crackling sounds further away - maybe collecting material?
19:12: Flying along the meadow to the right.
- I cannot identify the WTE.

19:34: A shot, far away.
20:07:30: A WTE lands on a branch at the right. Coming from the left, just as the previous one 1 hour ago.

Good night!

Good morning Matsalu!

 Thank you YT-chat for the time stamps!

09:00: A juvenile (a very young one, I think) lands on the p-branch. -A WTE on the right (not visible) calls, female voice (could have been 'Smiley', who else would tell this youngster: watch out, our territory?)

Image

A loose feather on the right wing:

Image

The juvenile hops onto the middle branches.
09:04: Departure.
09:21: A shot. - Crane fanfare.
09:22: Plumage ruffling.
09:30: From a branch at the right, a WTE leaves and flies to the right.

Addendum 27-03-2023:

This is the best shot I could create from yesterday's WTE visit at 19:07:

Image

A juvenile/subadult with distinctive dark tips at the tail. I suspect this one to have returned one hour later and maybe the WTE spent the night in the tree?

Around 17:42, the cam is back. The thin layer of snow has melted - and it also looks as if someone has been active in this nest.

18:42 ff.: A wood pigeon is singing; a crane has been singing for quite a while (is this courtship singing?)
18:43: Swans, wing sounds (I guess)..

:puzzled: Where is Liz' post???
Aha, I saw it just now:

at BDrieliņi: Good morning BDrielini, some essentials: please name the sources that you take the quotes from. I saw that this is part of the YT-chat, so please refer to the chat as such. Example: Thank you YT-chat for the time stamps etc. Such quotes other than from the forum itself are always 'normal text'. - The green background automatically pops in when you quote forum postings. So my first reaction was: where the heck is Liz' posting?

- Date of a new reporting day: we generally use blue, because this colour is usually used no where else. Anyone reading the daily reports instantly sees: aha, this is a new day. (Green on green is harder to see if you scroll through ...)
Thank you as always for your video footage  !

07:55: E 340 pays a visit to the nest and brings, as Liz put it in the YT-chat, "a reed". This is what I would call rather "symbolic" nest work ...

BDrieliņi, Susanne :hi:

BDrieliņi, you're welcome :D

the video of the early morning visits by them. It is cut to a few minutes

Eaglet, Male & Female were on the nest tree at the early morning.
It's funny how the eaglet watches the two adults as they call.
As if he were thinking why are they screaming so loud :rotf:

18:50: The couple arrives at the nest tree, 'Smiley' first, then E 340 joins her in the nest bowl. They are busy with digging and rearranging their 'honeymoon suite'.

19:10: He brings a branch. (Was calling before).

19:15: And off goes E 340 very elegantly through the middle gate to the left.
19:17: And returns with a huge branch, you could see him soar over the meadow like Superman.
- Did you note her breathing?
The Lady is in labour!

Still wiping my eyes. I already had a draft of a post going like this: "Sorry, lads and lasses, no clutch this year, eagles were mostly away the last 4 days. This is just an important outpost of their territory, they must have an alternate nest." -

How wrong I was! - Have you ever seen such a sudden, somehow unprepared birth of an egg?
Eagles are unpredictable. Yippieh!

Thank you YT-chat, I will borrow the time stamp from you  :D :
19:21:33: first egg.

Thank you BDrieliņi  Great video! :D

19:54: Did somebody per chance press the wrong button: cam off???
Thank God 'Smiley' is a quick one. We've got the important event on tape, ha!
I think the mike is still on, and so we can imagine her rolling the egg and nibbling at the big branch E 340 brought her shortly before...
20:03: Wow, thank you, stream is back! - E 340 has left meanwhile, but I can hear him calling at
20:05: ... while she is rolling her precious one.
20:17: She wanted to sleep, but then a bird sang so loud near the nest ...

Image

--- so she changed position. Girl, you deserve it.

Thank you Ina B, YT-chat: "Ina B 30.min un gatavs kinder surprise 🤣"
I think we don't need a Google translation for this!
