14:00 - 15:00 most of time they are resting
15:48 a break in the stream..
16:05 the stream is a bit jumpy now..
16:35 little one is clattering with its beak and looks up in the tree
the others are sleeping and the little one is really a guardian
17:30
17:35
17:36 they are stretching, searching the surroundings , playing with nest material.
Hanna was not back till now. I think she will arrive in the late evening
it's pretty cute. They grab something with their claw, then they take it from the claw into their beak.

Good evening Liz, Sova and All
Liz, I admire your perseverance here, in spite of all inconveniences, thank you so much! ... Btw., I have learned a new English colloquial word: "sticktoitiveness" (stick-to-it-iveness), haha, what a good descriptive word (https://www.dict.cc/?s=sticktoitiveness) This is what you and several others here on the forums have !
I better announce now that I will be away again, from 15.06-03.07, for my summer holidays... Perhaps the owlets are then already out of camera view for most of the time.

18:30
The owlets are sitting or sleeping in the late afternoon sun, one still panting from the heat; they stretch their wings, yawn and look idly into the forest. It is pretty windy and occasionally the nest is shaken so hard that owlets are looking up to the (creaking?) roof.
19:02 yawning - or laughing at us?
19:22 obviously, the wind doesn't worry them too much - all three are lying flat now and sleep.
20:16 Little Big #3 has woken up too
20:22 #2 has found a bit of prey near the back panel. When #1 walks towards him #2 starts clacking and beaking at him, defending his diner.
20:23 "What do YOU want?...Be gone!"
20:23 Oh, #2 is getting angry! A minute later he abandons his prey and #1 takes over.
22:02 Hanna is hooting uhoo-hoohoo. Owlets are up and hissing.
22:04 (after a break) Hanna sits on the lower right branch.
22:13 I can't make out what is happening as the stream is so badly broken. It seems Hanna has been looking for prey but found no more than a small piece which she put before the owlets. Then she left.
23:04 Night view comes on.

23:28 The owlets are seeing something to the left of and below the nest box
By and by they are falling asleep.

01:00 the owlets have been sleeping; every now and then one or two woke up and stretched a wing but then settled down to sleep again.
01:05 Hanna(?) brings a black corvid. #1 takes it to the back. #2 is begging aggressively. H. leaves immediately afterwards.
01:05 #2: "I want one too!"
01:11 #1 (or #2?) has begun tackling the new prey and, as usual, #3 sits beside him and tries to steal morsels from his beak
01:40 #1 (I think) has finished his meal but the other two are resting and not interested.
01:48 ah no, that was only a digestive break, he goes for dessert now.
02:00 finished now? Yes.
02:23 it's #2's turn now at the prey. EDIT: I believe it was #3 who is now eating... I really can no longer tell them apart :(
02:31 #2(?) must be very hungry but has no chance before the other two are satisfied. Waiting, he fell asleep.
02:54 all owlets are awake and standing up, there is much wing flapping, hopping through the nest and looking at the "outer world"

03:18 #3(?) has pinched a leg or wingbone of the crow and has now a problem with it...

good morning Askja and all
What a joy you are back. Thanks for your great night report
Continuing here is frustrating at times, but once you've been observing for so long, you can't just give up. so i can't. It's the first pair of owls in many years, here in the LK.
You will be gone for a long time. Horror! I'm watching another nest very closely. The first chick hatched yesterday! That's going to be a lot of work.
once they jump out of the nest we won't see much of them. the vegetation is now very dense.
3:23 wing stretching
3:36 stretching both winggs
3:37:06 wing exercises
