15:56 a crow landed on the nest tree . Hanna is hooting
15:57 she's hooting again.´

stream is pretty bad still.. again..
4 hours of download results in 1 hour and 10 minutes of material loss due to interruptions.so I can't even calculate times when they aren't easy to see,

I hear very now and then White tailed eagles. Male and female. I also heard a eaglet voice :D

16:26 owlet takes a part of prey
Image

16:28 Hanna is hooting . they pay attention to the left

I heard beak clattering.. nothing to see, because the stream is jumping..
16:31 I see the owlet eating fresh meat. But that could be from the prey?

Thank you, Liz, for this explanation. So, we will be able to hear them as long as they are around here. That's great!

19:58 There was not much to report in the last two and a half hours. The owlets have been alternately sleeping, preening or just looking out. Now all owlets wake up. One is already eating in the background, the other two are moving and stretching their wings after a good sleep.

20:01 I think this is #2 showing his beautiful wings

20:28 the two older owlets have been eating most of the last half hour. Now #3 has found a piece for himself, but #1? comes hop-flying at him. After that - stream break. I couldn't see whether this was just a wing exercise or if #1 wanted to take that prey away from #3. Anyway, nobody was eating in the next picture.
Image

20:30 #3 has found his prey again and is now eating without being molested by the older siblings. Or, at least it looks like it, I can not really see him getting pieces torn off.
21:15 the owlets have settled down to some rest.

21:43 I don't know what has alarmed the owlets (as this is just a glimpse between stream breaks). But the owlets look gorgeous!😍

23:00 The owlets have been very active for the last hour or so, from hopping and fluttering to beak biting games and prey eating.
Image

23:11 night view comes on.

23:30 #2 decides to finish off his meal with the remaining part of the black-featherd wing. To cut a long story short - he succeeded with swallowing the last centimetres of it at 23:50. Half way through, he got really angry and walked furiously through the nest. A bit further on, #1 stood beside him and begun pulling on the feathers sticking out of #2's beak, but #2 turned away. The two siblings have been watching the entire performance with greatest interest.

11.06.2023

00:10 All three are sitting on the front left. Sometimes their eyes are open, sometimes they're shut.
01:26 Hanna arrives with another large black bird. She takes it to the "back window" and starts feeding #3 with it. :headroll: The other two owlets watch. Soon someone starts clacking their beak, I assume it's #2.
01:31 Hanna looks around, than decides she'd better leave. #3 has got only a few bites.

01:30
Image

01:31 Hanna has lost all her fluffy brooding downs and appears much thinner now (I suppose she has lost weight, too, but we cannot compare with that former fluff ball).
Image

02:00 The owlets are awake and do what owlets do: preen, bicker, look around.
02:30 the owlets have settled down for a round of resting.

Good night!
02:50 :offtobed:

8:33 Hanna landed on the right branch. Crows and magpies are still calling.
Image

Image

She jumps on the other branch and went into the nest. Kids are begging
she took the black prey and starts feeding #3 :D

8:37 Hanna jumps on the left branch. little #3 is hissing , another owlet is doing wing exercises

Hanna flew away and took the prey with her. I think she was pretty hungry. First bite in the nest she has eaten by herself

15:47 done! :headroll:

Now I saw, little #3 has cut the bird  So it has strength enough to do it

You can only see it if you make everything a little brighter in the video settings. Too much light and shade at the nest at the moment.
