17:41:41 a male called far. Mr H probably. Milda listened with tall neck.

17:52 Mr H flew first over the nest tree and over the meadow and made a turn there. then he flew to the top branch.

17:54 Milda got up and called. Mr H began to call, too.
17:55 Milda flew out and Mr H followed her.

that was not far.
crows started calling and some flew by.

I see you’ve also covered events during the moonlit night.

It seems like mr. H. is doing well with taking his turn for egg-duty.
I’m glad Milda can take her breaks.
But shouldn’t mr. H bring her a fish from time to time?

yes, i sleep, a few hours each night.
i would like to sleep more though...

i'm quite happy with Mr H's development so far. to see the first egg must have been a great surprise (even shock!) for him. he has recovered that quite well and is doing his nest duty quite well, much better than Voldis in his first year.

the time for fish comes later, for real. he already gave his first fish to Milda without playing tricks with her (unlike Raimis for example). so far Milda has time to fish for herself.

Raimis and the others didn't bring fish fish/food to Milda before the chicks hatched. he has time for that, too, four weeks.

good morning!

after midnight it began to rain.
01:48 in the middle of the rain quite by accident i happened to find Milda's feather shake. she probably rolled the eggs, too.

5:10 wood pigeons began to sing in the dark (!).
about 5 min later blackbirds joined.
05:18 Milda's tail became visible.

05:28 her head was turning... she was preening. the rain had stopped.

5:39 Milda shook her feathers and got up and called.
then she preened...
5:41 she called again.
then she rolled the eggs.
5:42:14 Mr H flew to the top. - this time it seemed that Milda called him home.
both called.
then Milda rolled the eggs.
