She stands over the egg for 5 more minutes before beginning to roll it.

Only after 10 minutes does she cover it.

Hello everyone,
unfortunately there is no successful game this season.

The only egg laid is eliminated by the female.

March 19th

Two companions were found.
The male led the female to the nest.
I think so ...

Everything looked nice.
I can hardly judge the situation anymore. The cameras don't work really well. It takes patience and cunning to get some insights. Every day there are only a few moments (minutes) that the viewer has to reel through.

Another visit.

The couple seems harmonious.
But will this nest be the chosen one? They bring nothing with them... not a branch, nothing.

Uģis Bergmanis climbed into the nest tree today and did everything for a good visible season.

New lens, readjusted the camera and...

the hedge trimming.

The climb is certainly difficult but it must be nice to be one with the birds.
Where they are at home. :innocent:

Thanks Uģis and I wouldn't mind if new life grew here.

The cameras are situated in Lithuania

Description:
Here you can directly observe the life of particularly rare birds in Lithuania. From nesting to weddings. From egg laying to hatching. From the trouble of parents feeding their young to the trouble of protecting and teaching them to fly. The first nest belongs to the largest bird of prey in Lithuania - the sea eagle, and soon you will have the unique opportunity to follow the daily life of three other birds. What species will these be? Let's keep it a secret for now.

We initiated this conservation project together with our loyal partners, the transport and logistics company Transtira, which has been financing and taking care of the necessary monitoring technology for many years. We sincerely thank them.

4 cameras!
Cam 1 : White tailed eagle
CAM 2 : Balck Storks
CAM 3 : Osprey
CAM 4 : Great grey owl

Lesser SpottedEagle

Same here...

Shaky stream but today was a lucky day.

Two visits and it looked familiar.
Come... straighten the branches... and the partner in tow.

Lesser Spotted Eagle

April 11th

Another beautiful nest here...
https://www.youtube.com/live/CRrp4PKdoM ... p_aW-wsKNg
No breeding last year. Little else activity either.

This beautiful buzzard was seen on April 1st.

Unfortunately there is hardly any stream here either. In the short moments of the days it was still possible to see that branches were brought.

Who brought them?
I watch these nests meticulously but the flower boy escaped me.

April 12th

The structure of the nests is a bit confusing here in the forum. They run for several years and do not have a good range.

This nest is close to this one in my opinion.
viewtopic.php?p=917965#p917965
Similar to Goshawk, these two nests appear to be alternate nests.
Last year there were already visits, prey transfers and matings in this nest
...
...but breeding took place was here:
https://www.youtube.com/live/sYBI8iRZbQ ... XQ4e4T5IDX
(Unfortunately the only remaining egg was eliminated by the female)

Another 2 visits today.
11:16 - 18 More colorful plumage. And a second one is not far away.

I'm not familiar with this species but I'm very fond of them. I'm just giving observations.

14:01 - 04 This time obviously a different eagle. Calm in the feathers and purposeful with the nest work.

Lesser Spotted Eagle - Nest 'Birch'

April 13th

A visit here too.
We have the branch bringer here? :whistling:
So far one viewing hasn't been possible because the stream is often not running. We only saw the fresh branches.

Unfortunately, the topics in the forum are a bit complicated. I'll just try to stay up to date but not report in detail. Otherwise it will be chaos... 8-)

We can stay in birch...
3 morning visits today.
At least 2 different visitors, possibly even 3.

I could use some help...
I think the first one is a Buzzard? (Visit 09:55, 10:04)
The other eagle? (visit 10:19)

edit:
Thanks to @Baiba in the chat. :2thumbsup: All visitors are buzzards.

April 17th

Nest 'Birch'

There is movement in Nest 'Birch'. :innocent:

11:52 First a female. It plucks nest material, observes the area, calls upwards.
Lays down, digs in the bowl.
Image

12:05 She leaves the nest

12:14 And a male into the nest.
Image
Feather care, pecking in the nest

...'17 and the female comes along. She brings a branch.
Image

The male leaves the nest, as does the female a little later.
She returns with a branch and works in the nest.

Stands, looks and leaves the nest.

Nest 'Birch'

06:01 As soon as the stream woke up today, the female was also in the nest.
She does some nest work.

06:12 The partner appears.

'14 Both leave the nest one after the other.

It sounds like mating near the nest.

Nest 'Birch' remains the only nest with activity.

21st of April

11:34 - 39 Visit from an eagle.
As he/she leaves the nest, the calls of a tawny owl can be heard. :innocent:
