17:34: He leaves, obviously a little dragged down by the weight of his crop.

20:50:27 a blackbird flew to the spruce on the right.
20:50:41 another blackbird flew there!
20:50:47 one of them flew to the right branch.
20:50:02 the 2nd blackbird flew from the spruce on right to the right branch and flushed the 1st out. then the 2nd flew to the top and sang there....
20:51:39 the blackbird flew away.


they continued singing in the forest.

04:47 Zorro flew in. he looked around, lay on the nest...
04:49 he flew out.

7:40 a raven flew to our top and scared two other, little birds away from there. the raven called and another raven called nearby....
7:42 the raven flew away. this was an invisible visit but loud.

13:01 Zorro flew in. he dug the nest a little.
13:03 he went to the outer left branch.
then to the left branch. and to the top branch.
13:05 he flew away over the meadow to the right.

13:23:23 both a female and a male called in the forest nearby. Milda and Zorro.


13:34 they sang again.

14:26 Zorro flew in with a stick.
he picked up a cone. ... and dropped it. he was looking in the sky... and around...
14:28 he flew out.

21:32 Zorro flew to the left branch and then jumped to the nest. he worked with sticks... and looked around...
21:34 he flew out.

good morning!
03:48 a robin started to sing. then blackbirds and other thrushes joined the choir. wood pigeons don't sing any more in the early mornings.

04:42 a swan flew away from the lake.


4:55 (almost) Zorro flew in. he worked a little... then he lay down for a while.
4:56 he got up. then there was rustling, similar to the sounds that the Lodger makes. Zorro didn't pay any attention to the sounds. he just looked around at the surroundings...
4:57:24 he flew out to the right.
4:57:33 an eagle flew by from right to left. Zorro probably.


apparently the noise that the Lodger makes is very small (=soft) but it sounds loud because the source of the sound is very near to the microphone. Zorro apparently didn't hear it nearly as well as we. - also the wasps buzz very loud under the nest.

5:04 (almost) Zorro flew in with a twig with green leaves, from an oak or some other broad-leaved tree. then he took a pine twig from the side of the nest and worked with that. he lay down for a moment. then he got up and looked around... and dug the nest a little.
5:06 he jumped to the left branch. then he flew out.


5:08 (almost) Zorro flew in with a green twig, probably from a spruce. he lay it on the rear edge of the nest and began to work with another green twig.
then Milda flew in with a small stick. they worked...
5:11 Zorro jumped to the right branch and began to gnaw it.

5:13 Zorro jumped to the nest and Milda went to the top branch for a while. then they played "musical branches" till Milda ended down on the nest again and Zorro on the upper left branch.

5:17 Zorro tore the top branch. he was probably trying to cut a twig from there, but failed.
5:18 he flew out over the meadow to the right.
5:19 he flew back. he worked and Milda watched him...
it's funny: Milda seems to get along with Zorro better than she ever did with Hugo. she didn't seem to really accept Hugo..?
5:20 Milda went upstairs.
5:21 Zorro flew out.


5:23 Zorro flew in with a stick in his beak.
5:24 he flew out.
then also Milda flew out.
