100% Andris

take a look on Anna's plumage! it is totally different!

the shape above the eye arches as well as the back and wing feathers are extremely different. I got confused. I didn't have a good feeling when I wrote Anna - so I checked my notes from this year. And I was right. Anna didn't come back.

I got a mail

Dear Madam,
The German Wildlife Foundation, together with the NABU National Natural Heritage Foundation and the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Foundation for Environmental and Nature Conservation, has launched a national species protection program for the lesser spotted eagle. The partners will renaturalize habitats, create feeding areas and maintain high standards of care for the breeding grounds.
The Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Dr. Jan-Niclas Gesenhues, has now presented the funding certificate for 9.6 million euros to the project partners.
You can find out more about the national species protection program for the lesser spotted eagle here.

Kind regards,
Dr. Andreas Kinser
German Wildlife Foundation

I know Gut Klepelshagen. It is great there!

that is great! and so necessary! We hardly have any left. We should also do this for the black stork here in MV

Sept 25

10:35: Anna (I trust Baiba and the YT-chatters) arrives at the nest with a branch. She is often calling softly and is also busy with some nest maintenance, preening and resting in the nest bowl. The following pics. illustrate her stay on the nest. She was there for one hour and left at 11:35.

Susanne :hi:
Anna is on her way. This was Andris again

I did the work and picked out pictures to compare... I have a lot of viseos from this season on my pc.
Unfortunately, I was under a lot of pressure on the day I simply accepted the identification by Baiba. But my gut feeling and memory told me that couldn't be right. And so it is! We saw Andris.

Now I can do the last Video of season.. Andris farewell :D

Hello Liz,

I don't know what to write. This news has been bothering me since I read it 2 days ago.

There are hardly any real words but Pascale was one of 'us'. He will remain so...his thoughts, feelings and images are a beautiful and broad part of the path of the eagles. Pascale was a faithful companion and may his further journey be free and kind.

Polly, :hi: :D
Thank you for sympathy in Pascale's fate.
Pascale is leaving her parents behind. That was the worst thing for her. And it was difficult for her because France is still only discussing euthanasia.
I knew since April that it was her last season. I really hoped it wouldn't be like that.
I'm very unhappy because I wasn't with her this season. It was her wish, but I couldn't.

I'm really unhappy about my behavior. But I couldn't take two streams at once. My eyes can't handle it since October 2023. One camera is already very tiring. toe are to many. I was overjoyed about the black storks.

But I know that she was at peace with the knowledge that she was going to die. But that's often the case when you have enough time to deal with it. Only those who are left behind suffer.

I had made a pause and have just returned to the forum. And had to learn that Pascale passed away.

I am very, very sad. She has not made her illness public, not here, not elsewhere.
My deepest condolences go out to her parents and relatives, friends and companions.

Pascale loved the Lesser Spotted Eagles. She accompanied us mainly in the webcam YT chat, but also here in the forum, with her comments and statements full of enthusiasm, compassion, humour and expertise. I draw comfort from the idea that the last season was a very happy and successful one: experienced eagle parents, a thriving eaglet named Ieva that joyfully fledged; no serious harassment by predators (apart from the drone incident which could have taken a terrible turn - but did not); plenty of food. And heartwarming preening sessions which particularly gave Pascale great joy watching this interaction between Anna and her eaglet(s).

I will miss her warm and always friendly voice.

Fly Like A Bird

by Javon Evans

If I could fly like a
bird I would fly so very high.
I would soar through
the sky leaving all my
worries behind.

If I could fly like a bird
my face would touch the
the clouds while my
feathers hit the ground
as the wind cools me
down.

If I could fly like a bird
time would slow me down
giving me time to enjoy the
peace that surrounds all around.
If I could fly like
a bird swift as a light
I know for a fact
I would love this graceful flight.
