Local Johannes Schrøder has once again visited the territory og NF and Baron.
And sent us a message on FB:
Last week I took the trip out to Smøla's archipelago, in search of some of "my" old familiar eagles.
It was a happy reunion with both Baron Blue and the new wife!
As most people know, there was no successful breeding for Baron and NF this season, but the pair are still holding their own in their territory. This is completely normal behavior for sea eagles and we often see pairs take a one or more year break from nesting after a season of successful nesting.
On the trip, Baron got a fish, which he ate a bit of before NF came and took over the meal.
We just have to cross our fingers that they make it through the winter and make another nesting attempt in 2025
Here is Johannes´ photo of what might be Baron in full moulting.
