I have opened cam 5 minutes ago. We can see how fox carrion is getting bigger. Unfortunately. In such a hot weather! This is so pity that the owlets and Lotte with Leo did not come. Although their hissing has been well heard last night... but... who knows why they dont come to the ledge.
Are they in a location which is difficult for them to leave? I guess they still can not fly longer distances... so I believe they are close and we can hear them every night.

but "poor fox"... so much meat in vain. what a shame.

:hi:
A few years ago the muskrat brought to the shelf was not eaten, and dripped down in the form of a brown, sleety mass.
I'm afraid that with the fox will be the same :puzzled:

Me too. It was my first thought when I have seen that babies did not come to the ledge in the 1st night after fox delivery. Really pity...

Two (or even three) birds (owls?) fly towards the camera, and then I heard the beak clacking. I wonder if our owlets can fly so well?

Recently, owls are active on the rock. I'm surprised only that they are heard from such a distance.

Great, Mamicja. I am sure, our kids were flying... so nicely. Approaching microphone that clacking was "on the move"... Thanks!

Mamicja, I do not think that's owls, they are too big. Looks to me more like black storks.
Exactly two years ago owlets came from the rock to the main nest. The owlets from this year are at the same age, so I think they can fly now. And they are to be heard from different places.

owlet?

After two quiet nights without owl voices, I thought they they flew far away. But the previous night from 23:33 again both owlets were heard close. Unfortunately, the camera did not find them.
Today the camera works intermittently for me.

Wow! These are really beautiful names!... Both after parents and Leonardo suits to the little cutie (like somebody similar to little Leo) and Loretta sounds to me like a name for a countess.

One is "Strong as the lion", the other is "Crowned with Laurel" so she is Queen :D

Very nice.
