Well you have 5 breeding pairs in Denmark and this year 4 eaglets were fledged (Eagle-72 year book). 5 young ones have GPS/GSM tags and can be followed on maps: https://rc.ku.dk/goldeneagle/. Very few leave Sweden, this year 2 at Falsterbo.

:hi:

A bit off topic but a third winter Golden Eagle from Latvia showed up on the eagle feeder cam Store Mosse jan.02 in southern Sweden and was identified as 451G ringed in june 2018.
First time a GE from Latvia is identified in Sweden. Only 2 chicks were fledged that year and what are the odds that one has survived and shows up here
It is probably a female and is very dominant on the feeder, she is seen here nearly every day since then.
Maybe Ugis or Janis have more info?

I already read your post this morning in a different thread. And I had the same question ... our ornithologists in Latvia could know the girl. Should... . :innocent:
I am happy to see that the young people are doing well and that they seem to have learned to survive. It is always touching news and never and nowhere off topic. Thank you for the eye around and sharing !!! :2thumbsup:

The only info I got from Ugis is that this eagle was ringed in the western part of Latvia in 2018.

Hello! Technical issues have been resolved to such an extent that we come to the camera at any time. There has been an eagle in the nest, because there is a green branch, you have to wait

There is no doubt that an eagle is in the nest

Info by Uģis Bergmanis

Camera will turn off at 17:00 or 17:30, turn on at a certain charging voltage, depending on the sun, around 08:30 on a sunny morning, no sooner. At the moment we are still saving oh, because every night minus 20 and colder!

February 20

Polly and all :hi:

12:36:21 a golden eagle is calling :loveshower:
13:31:14 golden eagle is calling. It sounds pretty near the nest.
13:37 she is calling again (I think it is Spilve.. she is alone?)

Good evening, both 12:36 and 15:31 - these are the calls of the golden eagle. I think it's Spilve and still one. Since it is mid-February, this is the mating season for golden eagles. Hormonal storms have begun, so Spilve (?) Has slept in the nest hole and brought a branch, stays near the nest and tries to found a free eagle.

Great! :headroll: A new couple seems to be found. Although it was feared that this tree would die off and that it would not be considered a nesting tree. Let's hope that this area donates enough food ....

Thank you Tatyana and Liz and nice to see you Marfo! :innocent:
