Marfo, nice to read you.
Thanks for the information.
Maybe the thought is completely stupid, but could golden eagles also be short-distance migrants?
even if golden eagles are not known for it.
When their area doesn't provide enough food anyway, and thus even less in winter?
There are also smaller birds such as blackbirds, which are by no means purely resident birds. (Which I didn't know until a few weeks ago.)
Yes, let's see.

Trīne, thank you very much
Male lands in the nest with a bunch hay, female landed on the branch below.
She cuts a twig and brings it into the nest. Could be that she is Spilve. None of them wears rings.
10:05 Male flew to the left, landed on a tree and took off. Female is working with the hay ball.
10:08 she flew to the right
To me it still looks like yesterday when the second eagle left the nest. Yesterday, 10:08
No more visits.

she doesn't have brought that much at once Polly , it could be deceptive though. I don't know it. Let's hope they choose this nest. With your comment on migration. At least in America there is short migration. They probably don't fly too far away...

that is not stupid! that's very interesting
ah, here:
The golden eagle has migratory and non-migratory populations.
Most eagles breeding in the northernmost part of its range are migratory
Golden eagles migrate alone, following traditional routes
Their wintering grounds overlap with that of year-round resident eagles
Golden eagles generally return to the same breeding and wintering grounds
All golden eagles in the east are migratory (but it's America) https://avianreport.com/golden-eagle-migration/

Thank you Liz! At least it doesn't seem unthinkable.
Whether it actually applies to this couple is of course not comprehensible, but it could explain why they couldn't be heard - they just weren't here. viewtopic.php?p=888098#p888098
Just an assumption...
Incidentally, the Golden Eagle in Romania have also stopped construction.

Of course Golden Eagles aren't migratory in Latvia They simply are roaming around some territory

What surface of territory can we roughly imagine?
(Because of the possibility of hearing their calls. Because they certainly also call out their territorial borders, "mark"?)
I'm wondering because it might mean the couple has left territory altogether?
If so, why are they bringing hay to a distant nest if that nest is even outside their new territory? Maybe even far away?
Is it a behavior of territorial expansion?

Raven says: Look, my mate, this could be a very good opportunity, what do you think? (He calls, she answers)

The raven returns at 11:42 and places some material in the middle of the nest bowl (it's very windy today, so this is not an easy task.)

If the stream will be interrupted ( because of some technical problems ) then you should find the current one on their channel
09:30 ff.: A Stock Dove (columba oenas) visits the nest. (no white on the neck and smaller than a common wood pigeon (columba palumbus).

Good day!
No Golden Eagles, but something for bird voice experts ( Sigge, are you there?), quote YT-chat "Marfoo27 Good morning! What bird calls at 5:49 - 5:50? and later, 5:52-54?" _ This sounds so interesting! Go for it!

Good morning everyone!
There is good information about live streaming of the golden eagles and probably about Spilve.
GT:
Hello all around!
I called Ugi B. to find out the news.
***Last Friday They were at the nest and tried to revive the system, but only succeeded in running the swamp live broadcast, because one component for the "Pillow Nest" live broadcast has broken, which now needs to be ordered from abroad. But the good news is that she is already being ordered and it's just a matter of waiting for her to arrive and then the live show will resume.
*** Another news. The missing parts are still awaited, and it is planned to set up another live broadcast at a completely new nest in another area, where there was a successful nesting this year, and Ugis even suspects that Spilve nested in that nest. This live broadcast is scheduled to run until the new year.
Labdien, Vērotāji! Aptuveni pirms divām nedēļām ar IT jomas speciālistu biju purvā un novērtējām radušās problēmas. Nomainot bojāto rūteri, izdevās atjaunot sakarus ar purva kameru. Savukārt, ligzdas sistēmai ir bojāts barošanas bloks, ir nodots remontam, gaidām salaboto detaļu, vairāku nedēļu jautājums. Šodien, 10:25, ligzdas tiešā tuvumā vai pašā ligzdā, bija dzirdams saucam klinšu ērglis.

Hello, Watchers! About two weeks ago, I was in the swamp with an IT specialist and we assessed the problems that had arisen. By replacing the damaged router, it was possible to restore communication with the swamp camera. On the other hand, the power supply unit for the socket system is damaged, it has been sent for repair, we are waiting for the repaired part, a matter of several weeks. Today, at 10:25, a golden eagle was heard calling in the immediate vicinity of the nest or in the nest itself.
* Spilves ligzdas tiešraides tehniskā daļa esot sakārtota, bet esot ļoti tukši akumulatori, tāpēc šobrīd vēl tiešraide netiek palaista. Optimistiskākās prognozes esot, ka pēc kādām četrām - piecām dienām viņa varētu būt skatāma. :P
*Uz Jauno gadu būšot skatāma arī otrā tiešraide. :P

I received a message from Uģis Bergmanis!
* The technical part of the Spilve's nest live stream is said to be sorted, but the batteries are very empty, so Spilve's live stream is not started yet. The most optimistic predictions are that after four to five days it could be seen. :P
*The second live stream will also be shown on New Year's Eve. :P
