Not bad. I will familiarize myself in peace. :innocent:

12:19-12:20 The goshawk in the nest and does a bit nestwork, he/she has a metal ring in the right leg 8-)
13:05 The cam stopped
14:50 The cam is back

There is a very strange large metallic net under the nest :puzzled:
EDIT: it seems that in the forest is stored a lot of metal gratings
EDIT 2: the goshawk with the metal ring has also a transmitter

I took the liberty of writing here for the time being. I didn't find a place in the other cameras in Estonia section either. :puzzled:

Hi Liz, I posted everything in the topic above earlier today. (see link)
The topic does not fit into the "other topics" related to Estonia. And not here either... That's why I chose this place/thread.

Ps: I heard at least two pairings.
Unfortunately, the stream is not particularly reliable.

From the YT chat by Urmas Abel:

This nest is located in Tartu city, we put the transmitter on the male in 2019, their names are Ruudi (male) and Alla (female).... this is the first nest of goshawks in Tartu. For now, we have two more couples in town ... under the nest there are frames used to grow forest seedlings...

According to information from Imants Jakovlevs in Dabasdati. A quick resumption of the chamber is expected.

https://forums.dabasdati.lv/viewtopic.p ... start=1300

I am already looking forward to seeing our H's again and hope that in these more than four months they are well and in their territory.

Good morning Emiliano :hi:

Thanks for the information.

By the way, we also learn that H93 has visited the nest again.
If I understood it right. Nice that at least one of the juveniles is doing well.
btw I think that was actually the real news. I don't read about quick intentions to launch the camera.

I very much hope there will be a reunion with both H's at all... it cannot be taken for granted that they survived the winter.

LIVE!!!

:loveshower: :loveshower: :loveshower:

I was about to close and saw it....
The Latvian nest is online! :loveshower:

Why isn't anyone telling me this? :rotf:

March 8th

Finally ...
The Goshawk nest in Riga is back online. :headroll:
What I see doesn't look very good to me. Poor Mikado....no nest prepared for a season to start soon. Randomly discarded branches...
It makes me doubt the intact existence of our H's.

Oh... Everything is still new for us observers. The stream has only been running for a few minutes.
Maybe I have too many expectations.

And big thanks to the team for making the stream available again. :2thumbsup:

Let's go! :loveshower:

I've now jumped a year into 2021. Our H's may have been in their bond as a new couple at the time. The nest looked the same...in fact, it was never really expanded. :D

The clearly discarded branches may mean that they continue to mark the nest. But also that they are using a new nest or ... have been broken off in the meantime. I'm on duty tomorrow morning and won't be able to go online until the afternoon.
That just annoys me. :slap:

So far, which wasn't much but super exciting, there was no sign.

I'm terribly excited, sorry. It gets better.

Until tomorrow!

I read today about the confusion about H92 or 93 on the neighboring forum.

I would like to join the Latvian user who does not exclude H92.
I would have to search a long time but I am sure that I have recognized H92 more than once.

The fact is that we all never received official confirmation that the ring numbers were H93, H94, H95.
I always wrote that the sequence of numbers seems illogical. Since the 92, 94 and 95 always appeared for me too.
Maybe the member has a better recording than me?

Here again with the Goshawks.

6:03:27 Sounds of dawn, it is still confirmed that the two H's are there.

Greetings and thanks for the transmission. :loveshower: :loveshower:
