Well, we already have the two posing closely, H21 on (19 - 9) and H44 today.

They have already "graduated" completely, the main thing: breeding and now with their beautiful adult plumage.

Congratulations on capturing the scene so early, it is almost normal with your dedication and the luck of being free in the morning.
H21 keeps its "V" on the tail and H44 its nape lighter, also the left eyebrow of H44 seems a little narrower than the right in some places.

On (7-10-21) there were her morning sounds from 7:01:35 to 7:29:45 and then already documented Polly from 8:04:23 onwards.

(10-10-21) the first calls have been made from 7:06:20 to 7:12:33 and some more at 7:35, 7:36 and 7:41 although the latter more distant, all before H44's visit to the nest.

The H's have beautiful plumage for their first year of adulthood. Yes.
I still have to get used to it.
And H44 has not only changed in the dress - remember, we saw him 7 months ago (not quite) for the first time (I repeated the video a few days ago) and he has become very dormant.
I remember when H44 refused to sit on the balls ... and then he did. The fidgety youngster has become a very committed male goshawk. :innocent:

I can only find admiration - for both!

Did you have an idea for that moment from yesterday?

....but what is happening?
It seems to me that another bird was also involved.

October 11th

Today is apparently a somewhat unspectacular day in the territory.

Morning calls

07: 13/14 in motion, sometimes more distant - sometimes closer
07:30 away

08:39 a Goshawk is sitting somewhere in the area and makes itself heard with short sounds. Completely relaxed, unexcited

15:20 Goshawk calls - crow answers. :D
Then the Goshawk again.

I think both H44 (Voice offside) and H21 can be heard.

15:22, 15:46 Call a little more urgent

Shortly afterwards it can be heard slightly away but still up close.

Surely a mistake? :innocent:

16:24, 16:30 calls away

Then again an audibly very unpleasant situation:

18:23
I'm not sure if it's definitely H21 or a Juvenile. The voice is very fresh, very high.
In any case, it sounds almost panicked ... no longer just angry.

I compared yesterday's situation (video above) with today. In the end there are similar tones.
(Only today were more crows to be heard. But that can be independent.)

Can it be H21 and a Juvenile?
edit: Two adult females?

Not much heard of our H's today, but at least one is here.

07: 52: 41/42 Probably starting from the yellow mast, a goshawk is heading for the nest tree.
No shout, no landing noises. Either flown by or H44. He's good at being invisible. Can still sit very close here.

I don't like this silence today. It's unsettling - well, at least for me.
No reputation, not even away.
(Exception 07:48 - very long distance)

I hope everything is okay
Maybe I'm just too scared about the unrest yesterday and the day before yesterday.

I have to go to work soon and hope to find a good sign late this evening. :innocent:

13:27 H44 flutters onto the side branch.
He often looks back, scratches his head ... poops and flies down after a few moments.

A somewhat restless visit but at least one visit.
H44 didn't make a single sound.

No H21 to be heard ....

October 13th

07:18 calls in the area

07:20 Short call but now close and powerful

07:21 several calls that move away again

It seems to me that H44 is also on the lookout for H21. H44 often looked at the yellow mast yesterday. Maybe she was there or H44 was waiting for her there. (He came from there in the morning too.)
Even today I did not hear an accurate sign from her.
It is unusual not to hear the two of them together. Maybe it's normal for this time outside the active breeding season but then again - it's the H's.

Edit 22:04:
Nothing. :/
I've now tried to roll up the day from noon ... nothing. It's not always my nature, but I worry.
I am very happy when the night is over and I can continue to hope tomorrow (day off - I will tie the tablet around my stomach  ).

Sleep well!

PS:
By the way, very dominant and very present in the area and also in the nest tree, members of the thrush family. They flutter everywhere ... which is not unsightly. :innocent: But the Jay is silent ... crazy everything.
17:28:04 Movement in the tree again.
But because of the multitude of thrushes and titmice that hop through the tree ... it can be anything.
It sounded heavy and it stopped.
Smaller birds are very sensitive to the microphone and can be heard for longer.

October 14th

Good morning!

I am super relieved! :faint:
There were a number of calls in the morning and I went through each tone one by one.
I'm very sure that both of our H's are okay - including our H21. :innocent:

Let's go

07:16, 07:18 bright calls can be heard in the distance.

07:20 a closer call with short sounds (I was vigilant here. They use this call almost only when there are two of them - for each other.)

07:21 to be heard a bit away then close ... again with short sounds.

07:23 At first it sounds like a call from just one voice, but there are actually two.

07:31 Very close, very clear - H21 (the louder one) begins the call sequence and the last word belongs to H44.

07:36 the blackbirds do not agree with the presence of the H's. The tension is almost palpable ...

07:57 And still H44 and H21 seem to be at their posts.
H21 starts the call sequence again and H44 answers her.

I will join together a few calls later in the video. First of all, I have an appointment.

See you!

****

Calls from 07:21 - 07:57
(Both H's were already 07:21.)

10:45 Well, there he is ... our master - impersonator.
A beautiful animal. He picks everything he can find - the main thing is his.

Incidentally, the crows are howling in the background.

11:20 calls in the area

11: 58/59 close

12:03 Both can be heard! :innocent:
They sit at different distances, but still close. H21 closer again.

12:04:50 'Gjak' on H44 from a slightly longer distance
12:05:20, '41 too

12:43 H44 from its more distant position

Training - the calls 8-)

H21activated the egg timer.
She calls for H44 pretty regularly.

13: 10/11 possibly from the undergrowth of the group of trees on the left

13: 13/14 same tone - same place (?)

13:16 too

However, H44 appears to have flown out. To bring her a present?

13: 50/51 H21 calls and then their calls flutter. H44 seems to be back in the field ...

13:51:59 his 'Gjak' can be heard

13:56 calls

13:59 now both
First H44 with 'Gjak' (distant), then H21 in the general tone.

14:03 H44 and H21 move closer to the nest again.
Close calls.

14: 04: 28/29 'Gjak' from both of them.
H44 very delicate, H21 rather rustic but sweet.

14:05:30 But H21 can sqeak extremely tenderly well while H44 continues to 'gjakt'.

Touching ... it's good to hear. :innocent:

14:08 still close but a call in the distance.

14:36 H44 stays or returns ... he can be heard close and H21 answers.

And sometimes I don't trust my senses ...

While I can't think because of worry, our H's are celebrating spring. :rotf: ( )

14:41 mating noises (which does not have to be performed physically)

14:42 'Gjak' both
