Uno brings fresh carrots and sees that the antler is gone. Is everyone allowed to collect antlers in Estonia?

I am not sure; I suppose it is legal. However, it was not a nice thing to do. This dude also knew it.

Thank you, Trine. In Germany, this is poaching and is punishable by law.

IceAge, Trine, here's a post from RMK about it from 2018: https://www.rmk.ee/metsa-majandamine/lo ... tse-eetris
It is legal but they have asked people not to do it. Maybe this is someone new who didn't know about that.

But Roland was the one who finally lost his antler. We have been waiting for it for some time.
Ervin is now the only adult (over 5 years old) who still has both antlers.

24 deer visited this night, 19 stags, 3 hinds, 2 calves. 14 stags have now lost at least one antler, 13 of them probably both.

:hi:

yes! These are impressive reports and pictures from you rongike. Thank you very much

(at the beginning of the current live transmission I often watched live, lately hardly...)
but one thing struck me this year:
there were very often hinds at the feeder. That was not the case in recent years, right?

IceAge, thanks to you also
regarding legality of antler collecting in Estonia, I think this collector disguised himself, speaks for itself.
(or was he to be seen and you have the picture detail for data protection reasons so chosen that he was not to be recognized?)

Last year hinds and calves also visited quite a bit, but not many the years before. I've been going through the forum, looking at past seasons. I haven't watched much of season 2 (2014/15) yet, but there also seemed to be a lot of hinds then, but later they stopped visiting. :puzzled:

I made another video of this morning.

Biker, you are right. He wasn't visible because he didn't want to be recognised either.
