Yes, thank you for returning the old forum.

Unfortunately, my login problem (software does not remember me and removes the hook) persists.

I performed every suggestion and do not know what else I should do.

Many thanks for the familiar design in green!

I didn't like white or blue either ... it should stay green. It's warm and it's like coming home. Nature. :innocent:

The automatic login worked without any problems. Lucky. I don't know my password.

Nice work, thanks a million! :2thumbsup:

Thank you for bringing the "old" look back, much pleasanter and better to read.

When logging in there is a warning that the Looduskalender website is not encrypted.

Maybe this is the reason why my login data are not remembered.

Can someone please kindly pass this on to the technical staff?

I still have to login every time I visit. But today I was even logged out when I followed a link from one post to a post in another forum on Looduskalender. Very strange :slap:

What can I do about this?

edit: I think I found out what happened in my case: I use Firefox and they have an 'enhanced tracking protection'. Some websites work not well because of this protection. You can choose to turn this protection off on the websites that seem broken. I followed the advice to turn it off and it worked; I remained logged in.
See this Firefox support page if you use this browser and have these problems:

Marfo: Although Biker said that this cannot be the reason: With the new forum there appeared a warning that this site is not secure. Try to load the Forum via Chrome or IE, there should appear
https:// at the beginning of the line. Make a cut and paste of the address in another tab and login and set the hook to remember you. Worked with me.

Thank you Rita, while you posted this I was writing an answer to my own question, see above. I don't use Chrome nor IE.

I use Firefox as well. :innocent:

Marfo: And thank you for the link to the support page - I did not find it at the time.

Blimey, just read across this link - I don't get a thing. Without your help I would not have known how to use this information at all. :slap:

Rita :hi: I didn't quite understand what you mean by the above but after reading the Firefox support page about this I know what to do in general with unsafe webpages:

Paste https:// at the beginning of the addres to see if there is a safe version available of the webpage. If so, save the link in your bookmarks (if you want to save the new address). This applies to Firefox and Safari and probably to other browsers as well. But, it only works if there is a safer version of the webpage available

This is almost what you said but I didn't get it...

Hello everyone! :hi:
I had a similar problem now. My password was no longer automatically suggested and I had to get a new one (I didn't know my password anymore).
The problem was that I suddenly couldn't access this forum anymore. My tablet has denied access. Tried with Samsung Browser (always went!) and with Chrome - nothing worked. Always just warn that this page is unsafe. I've never had that warning.
However, I was able to call with the phone (also Samsung and the same browser) and at least read. Kaspersky is not. I tried. The fact is that something has changed overnight. I can't find the cause. Now I visit the page with Edge. That works. Only automatic password recognition does not work yet.

Dear Liz,

Thank you for reporting this error. I could not write here because I could not log in.

After deleting the cookies it works again.

What would we do without you.

I had the same problem just today for the first time (assuming it was being unable to log in because of "invalid form data")

Deleting all my cookies solved the "invalid form data" problem for me as well. :2thumbsup:

I'm using the latest (84.0.2) version of Firefox on desktop. It should work for older/mobile versions too.

-------------------

About being logged out / losing saved passwords / browser complaining about security:

I noticed a few months ago that links to posts in older forum threads (I think before 2018) redirect to http:// instead of https://, which also reverts the entire forum to using HTTP instead of HTTPS. This logs me out of looduskalender and makes my browser refuse to store my logins at all, because it's "an extreme security risk".

Despite my browser's obvious issues with unencrypted HTTP, it happily overwrites the encrypted pages in the browser history with their unencrypted counterparts, even suggesting the unencrypted version first when I write "looduskalender" in my URL bar. Revisiting any of these links silently logs me out, and I'll need to manually change to HTTPS again.

The first post in this thread is affected by this problem: https://www.looduskalender.ee/forum/vie ... f=99&t=909 (I think it affects all posts/threads from before 2018)

For instance, the internal links in the first post if this thread redirect to URLS using unencrypted HTTP. Clicking on any of them silently logs me out (though I can avoid this by opening it in a new tab, and refraining from going anywhere else in this tab before closing it)

As far as I've seen, this problem only applies to internal links to other posts on looduskalender. I wasn't there yet in 2018, but I suspect a phpBB update happened somewhere around that time that made all internal links from that moment use https (when using the https version), but didn't apply this to the older links. I suspect it has been like that since 2018, but only a few months ago that browser developers (or at least Mozilla) decided to make it a website-breaking issue.

A "simple" solution would be to force HTTPS whenever someone tries to connect to the forum using unencrypted HTTP. for example, whenever I try to go to http://looduskalender.ee/ it automatically redirects https://looduskalender.ee/ . It would be nice if the forum did a similar thing, but that's probably easier said than done...
