15:38:59 MILDA drops down from above. She's back! How wonderful!

Ok, chronologically:
15:19:40 sounds of a landing upstairs?
15:27 Mr L drops into the nest from above.
Is working & wandering around a bit.
(Possibly finding last left overs from his fish yesterday - he seems to chew on something.)
15:29:33 A noise of wings & landing can be heard.
15:31:31 Mr L jumps on the left branch.
(He looks actually quite round, sitting there. ;-.)
15:33:20 He sort of steps back into the nest bowl
You can hear a bit of movement upstairs and Mr L looks up, too.
He proceeds to work with a stick.
Keeps looking up in between.
15:38:59 Milda drops down.
They quabble a bit in the usual way, working with sticks, too.
15:40:22 He jumps up to the left branch again while she tenderly bites his feathers.
Milda seems to discover some left overs, too.
15:41:08 Mr L to top branch.
15:41:53 Milda takes off to the left.
15:47:15 Mr L leaves, too, to the left.

On the YT chat, we were wondering about that dark tipped tail feather on the left hand side. Not a Mr L characteristic of old. But I did think it was Milda and they were a couple, so yes. yay!

Here, Simoninna had remarked on it a while ago, and she did identify him by that. Anyway, it's surely his tail and he looks like himself, too ;-.)

yes, i think it was Mr L after all. first he looked a little strange to me, as if he had too many black spots on the tips of the tail feathers, but i suppose it was only because now against the snow all the dark spots were well visible.
edit: i made a double picture to show the spots on his tail. i marked with a blue ellipse the spot that has been visible earlier, too, and with pink squares the "new" spots. this spot pattern seems to be symmetrical. there are spots on both outer feathers on the sides and in the centre feathers as well.
Image

i'll have to watch the video again...
... yes, and the female was Milda.

besides it would be extremely improbable that there would be a strange male who looks exactly like Mr L together with a strange female who looks exactly like Milda.

Liz, actually very many of Mr L's tail feathers had dark tips. they just haven't been visible against the dark nest. against the snow the spots were visible.

edit: i made a pairs of pictures of the tail. it's above.

Milda bit his tail at 15:40:24 after Mr L jumped to the left branch.

thank you for the reports, and especially thank you for the pictures Liz!
in the morning at 8:53 the raven who called was visible against the snow, too. he/she flew from the nest tree over the meadow and landed probably on the top of the Observation Oak. a week ago he/she would have been invisible there but today he/she was visible as a black dot in the tree. :D
otherwise it was a rather quiet day until Mr L and Milda came.

8:06 I think Milda is nearby too. He's acting like he's seeing her
But that's only true if there is Mr. L in the nest and not Milda

he looks to the left
Image

8:09 now he is preening himself. A raven can be heard
8:11 I see his tail markings - dark tips :D
