Good Morning seira and Birdfriend :hi:

Rubus fledges!

Info by Cilla

Rubus left the box (not the most graceful fledge, more of a tumble) this morning at 08:18:57 and has been found alive and well in a pine shelterbelt a few hundred metres from the tower. H was in a tree, so must be able to fly.

Thank you, Liz for sharing video and nice pic from Rubus.

I guess this fledge was not a plan from Rubus, it looks to me, that strong wind gust blow him out. Important is, that the little guy is fine.

Indigo came in with a prey! 8-)
The video contains 3 camera views. The Ledge camera has a scene in SLOMO Speed 0.3. I'm not sure but it could be Rubus, fluttering in front of nest box . Indigo is able to land in the box. At the tower cam view you can see 3 peregrine falcons. Certainly Indigo lands on the roof and takes over the prey from a parent. The third could be Rubus.

Liz, thank you very much. Great job!

I really hope you are right.

No confirmed sightings of Rubus today or yesterday. I did see a bird of prey being mobbed, near where I last saw Rubus (23rd) but I think it was too big. Later I saw a goshawk being chased, so that was probably it.
