seira, Birdfriend :hi:

thanks for reporting and pictures :2thumbsup:

snack was a beetle  The beetle clung to Indigo's toes. He shook his leg until the beetle fell off :rotf:
For me Indigo is a little farmer boy. it's not the first bug he's caught.

NEWS 1st February 2023
Indigo had not been seen or heard for two days, but made a visit today (arriving 09:58:58 h). He's probably venturing further away each day and then one day he'll be gone. But note that his brother Izzi stayed until August 2021!

Dr. Cilla did not know ye, was it was. It doesn't look like a fire work.it looks like something exploded. I will wait for Cilla's report about it .. Everything else is speculation

BTW: here you can see, what that makes with the poor animals.

Cilla has informed the university, they will investigate. At the moment we don't know exactly what is was. Let's not speculate and wait till we get clarity from Cilla
And yes fireworks is illegal

thank you, Liz :2thumbsup:
It's terrible. In Taiwan, there are also a lot of fireworks and firecrackers during the Chinese New Year. I am always frightened, not to mention wild animals and domestic pets.

NEWS 14th Februrary
Some loud bangs and flashes were seen and heard last night about 2121 h. Poor Diamond was frightened to bits and took off into the night. I rang the university security, but they couldn't find any problems. I also made a video (see below) and sent it to the maintenance manager for comment and follow up. As soon as I hear anything I will update. All three falcons have been heard or seen this morning, so they are all safe.

seira, thank you for the good news. So our Queen Di is doing well :2thumbsup:

Cilla wrote in the n chat:
I've spoken to the maintenance manager. He has called the police. But the police are not interested. The car image is too blurry. We don't think it was students, but who knows. I suspect they see it s a very minor misdemeanour.

My guess is that they will keep clear of it for a while. Perhaps Xavier or Indigo will come back first as Diamond was traumatised.

February 15

NEWS 14th Februrary
Some illegal fireworks (nearly 50) loud bangs and flashes were seen and heard last night about 2121 h. They were about 300-400 m from the tower. The police and security were notified. Apparently, there have been other similar incidents locally so they are taking it seriously and doing all they can, although it is unlikely the culprits will be apprehended. All three falcons are safe.

Poor Diamond left the box in a panic.
