good morning!
thank you for the reports and pictures, Liz and Abigyl!

even in this weather the eagles came. Milda flew by visibly to us at least three times. i think that she was planning to land but the wind was too hard and gusty. probably she was flying around and 'disturbing' Mr L's work.

I see a primary is emerging to fill the gap in Mr L's left wing:

handbyl, thank you!
that's the time, i have been waiting to see this gap being filled. i already thought that his wing was injured in a way that this feather was lost for good. :2thumbsup:

this was a stormy day with snow coming down all day.

Indeed, that reason is why precisely I was alert to this - I thought he had an damaged follicle because he had that gap when we first got to know him in the drama of last year.

mega2 saw an eagle flying by before Mr L arrived.
https://forums.dabasdati.lv/viewtopic.p ... 04#p311304
16:52:29 the eagle flew by far from right to left between the upper left and lower left branches. then closer to the right. i could not see where the eagle came from.

16:52 Mr L flew in.
16:53:38 Milda landed on the top. Mr L looked at her many times.

16:56 Milda dropped from the top down to the nest. they worked together...

16:57 Milda rubbed her bottom against the nest. then Mr L went to the top branch.

16:59 Milda flew out.
Mr L followed right after her.
