Liz, maybe the second branch dropped step by step? there are a lot of trees and maybe their branches slowed the dropping?
or on the first time a branch dropped and on the second a whole tree fell? it makes a looooong crash. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0o0b62Ctsw
this was an exciting video although nothing else happened than two trees were felled.
Liz heard again a crash in the forest at 6:32:54. it wasn't as big as the crashes yesterday. maybe a smaller branch (but big) fell. https://youtu.be/SvHAw6lHN5I
i heard wild boar at 9:40 and 9:45. they are back.
quite a storm!
9:58:33 i heard a wild boar voice. when i searched the voice on video i found two pigs running by from left to right.
... now i looked more backwards. there were more pigs earlier, at least two pigs at 9:57:15 low on the right corner and lower edge. (before and after this the wind was too hard and it was difficult to see.)
there were at least 4 boar, maybe even 5.
8:31 the strange subadult male arrived. he didn't have very thin ankles but the beak belonged clearly to a male. he was also rather small. (Milda looks huge compared to him when she stands on the same spot on the nest)
the underparts were still very spotty, but the tail was rather white already and also the back was rather uniformly grey-brown. that's why i think he was about 4 - 5 Calendar years (3rd or 4th winters) old.
unlike other visitors he didn't move sticks around. he spent his time looking around.
8:50 the stranger jumped to the left rim and shower his underside in better light.
8:52:07 the eagle saw something on the right...
8:52:57 Mr L arrived and chased the stranger away. it seemed that Mr L knew that the stranger was not really dangerous but he had to be kicked out any way.
Mr L called... then he flew after the stranger to make sure that he'll fly far enough.
