August 8

good morning!

it has been a normal August morning: wood pigeons have been singing but that's about all.

6:08 a jay shrieked in the forest. then a great spotted woodpecker called....
6:11 a jay called closer a few times. the woodpecker continued till 6:12 and then flew farther.
all stayed out of sight.

6:46 cranes called far, then near and then very far.

6:58 onward rain for about 15 min.

5:49 a wood pigeon sang in the forest.
5:50:24 a fairly big bird flew to the top of the spruce on the right.
a wood pigeon sang a few times...
5:55:48 a strange bird's voice, the "platypus".
5:55:35 the bird flew away from the top and a crow called. the bird was dark, not a wood pigeon.
then a wood pigeon sang the same way as earlier.

i think that the bird who visited the spruce top was a crow (and that she was the platypus).
beautiful sunrise. :innocent:

6:42 little birds (tits and nuthatches) were talking nearby, and also jays started making a lot of noise. all stayed out of sight.
