this has to be 20:51 crested tit.
the shadow of the tit danced on the shadow of the branches after the tit flew by the camera. also the shadow of our tree top was visible on the forest behind the nest.
22:43:54 a woodcock flew by and called. this time the bird was visible, as a light blur only but visible any way.

good morning!
02:20 the Moon rose. there was also a bright star in the sky near the Moon.
as usual, the bright object turned out to be a planet, the Jupiter this time.
i had to make the picture slightly later in order to get the rising Moon in the picture, too.

someone has come home.
who is this, Voldis?
15:11 an eagle flew over the meadow and dropped down on the nest. it's a rather pale male but the sunshine is bright, too.
he looked around...
15:13 he flew out.
this is the best shot of the tail and it's not good.

15:19 male eagle's calls from nearby. then an eagle flew back.
not a good picture of the tail.
a male. this could be Voldis.
breast feathers look the same as the first eagle's.

15:21 he called and beat his wings up, and a buzzard called. then the buzzard probably flew over once more. after that the buzzard didn't return.
the eagle looked around... and preened a little. then looked around more...
15:33:00 the eagle pooped on the nest ( !?).
then he flew out, showing the tail equally badly as earlier.
both eagles looked like the same bird, but was that not Voldis? Voldis wouldn't poop on the nest, would he? maybe this eagle was a stranger? or not?
maybe it's best to think it was Voldis, for simplicity's sake, or at least call him Voldis.

good morning!
2:25 the Moon rose one step further to the east and a slice thinner.
the Jupiter was also in the sky but higher than yesterday. this picture shows also the Mars but it was not visible in the picture above. it was too near the Moon.

6:15:48 a young blackbird flew down from the top and called. then a blackbird sang nearby. the singer was perhaps another blackbird.

Hubby told me that he saw an osprey here!
9:01:04 the osprey fly by. (mega2 saw it.)
9:01 the osprey flew to the nest. no rings.
an eagle flew after the osprey(?).
9:01:52 another osprey flew around the nest tree on the right side. the stomach was white.
Andra noticed this in the chat. thank you Andra!
... Hubby is now so proud: he identified that the visitor was an osprey and not just "a hawk" or something.
"i know all sorts of things" he said.
edit: now later he said that he saw two ospreys!

the osprey saw it wiser to leave.
9:02:13 an eagle flew to the top and called.
an argument! warning calls! Milda's voice.
she complained and warned and shook her wings several times. apparently the osprey returned to tease her and flew around and over the nest (although i couldn't see the osprey).
