14:14 a big light-grey bird flew over the meadow from left to right. the bird seemed to have long neck and long legs. the tips of the wings looked dark. i think it was a crane.
one picture is not very convincing but watching the video frame by frame gives the impression of a crane. - it was certainly not an eagle. there was no hint of a white tail. that always shines very far when an eagle flies by at that distance, even on non-adults.

good morning!

no-one has visited. so far i haven't find anything special.
i started to listen to the recordings from 2:29 onward but i didn't find our lodger leaving. he/she must have left before that. an early bird! ... or early what-ever.

4:57:13 a blackbird flew to the top of the spruce on the right. he sang....
4:58:17 he flew to our top and continued singing till 5:09.

his song on the top was so clear that i got a copyright claim of the video! someone else has also recorded blackbird's song and used it in their video. the same thing happened with the last blackbird's song video yesterday evening. :slap:
i disputed the claims of course. no-one can own a wild bird's song.

9:22:48 a blackbird flew to the top of the spruce on the right. he sang...
9:23:53 the blackbird flew to our top and continued singing... this has been his routine route: first he flies to the spruce on the right and sings there for a few minutes. then he flies to our top and sings here a few minutes. then he flies away somewhere else and continues (but not very near). sometimes he can be seen diving down to the left from our top.
9:25:51 a big white/light bird flew from the left over the meadow. the bird seemed to land on the meadow near the right end of the lake under the poop branch. the bird seemed to have long legs. the back and the wings seemed to be white (not a tail). i think it was a crane. i suspect that the cranes have a nest there.

9:56 a blackbird was again on our top singing... two great tits sang nearby, too.
9:57 a great tit visited the nest briefly.

also the platypus called at times and sometimes crows, too.

5:21 a crow called closer...
5:21:35 an eagle flew to the top. then the crow called nearby.
the landing on the top was very soft but fortunately the crow told me when the eagle had arrived.
