August 18
good morning!
the Moon rises outside our view and is visible in the top left corner now. soon we shall not see the Moon at all.
01:30 (about) frogs sang in the night.
(they have sang almost every calm night when it has been possible to hear soft voices).
1:42 - 1:46 tawny owls were calling nearby... there were at least two.

03:14 tawny owls again, at least two owls.
i think that one of them was a male: ho-ho-ho-ho-hooo!
there were some footsteps, too. someone was walking in the forest.
3:27 more calls, from closer.

4:56 - 4:57 guess who called? right: a tawny owl.

5:12 a pygmy owl whistled.
this is usually the time when tawny owls have stopped their calls and pygmy owls begin.

this is what the GT gives. the meaning was that a sparrowhawk flew to the top at 17:40:48.
thank you mega2!
- i couldn't see or hear when the hawk flew away.
18:36 a dragonfly rested on the nest for a while before flying away.

Hello @ame
Have you considered the option of a great egret?
Yesterday I brooded for a long time, made a video clip and looked at flight pictures of a great egret on the Internet. The broad wings are striking, the leisurely pace in flight ... great egrets do not fly with stretched necks. Which could explain why we perceive the neck as short.
Are there deposits in this area? Do you happen to know that?
Really an exciting moment!
