13. November

Picture archive shows someone with thick legs at the traditional nest place, looks very much like our Lotte

January 13 2023

18.35 Raccoons again in the nest area and on the way to last year's nest. It is questionable whether eagle owls will breed there. I haven't heard an owl in a long time.

Hi romy and all other Eagle Owl lovers :hi:

I will continue and expand this topic to 2023, as we have only 6 pages for 2022.

In season 2018/2019 we also had a two-year-topic, as our couple skipped breeding in 2018.

Begin of season 2023 will be linked on the first page.

The three camera-owlets got their rings yesterday, seems the middle one was not quite amused about this 'trip' :D

:hi: All!
I'm so glad we can watch owlets here again! Here are a few cam 3 screenshots from today (yesterday).

09:47 The three new tenants of the old castle dozing into the morning. It seems they are not greatly different in size.

Yes, the are cute, aren´t they?

But they have not so much room there in this niche, compared to the owlets at Lotte/Leo´s traditional nest place, with the whole ledge along.
They could walk far out and run for a food delivery and make their first flight jumps before they fledged.
