15:54: And here we go! Arriving with short calls on the p-branch and cleaning his beak, a ring-bearer appears. Looks like E 340!

He was busy with preening, did a nice PS and then hopped into the nest bowl:

19:43: Wrooom! He's back - E 340 with short, loud calls, on the p-branch.
19:48: .... and off again. He flies down and straight ahead over the meadow, then vanishes in the treetops (usual position: 1 o' clock)

Thank you IceAge!
Currently - 09:48 ff. - the cam is off again. Mike still works - and there were eagle calls from far, male presumably, agitated.

10:43 something: Cam is back- Very interesting bird voice which I haven't heard before. I haven't detected the source yet, it flew away, continuing to call.
- Sounds to me like alarm calls of maybe a woodpecker? I thought about Dendrocopos leucotos, the Whitebacked Woodpecker, but I am not wholly convinced ( I checked with xeno-canto).

I've rewatched E 340's arrival: He arrived at 06:58, calling when perched on the p-branch.
(I guess vocal display is an important message to anyone in the area: "My nest! My territory! I'm here - just in case you didn't notice.")

12:35:19: faint high-pitched 'squeaking' sounds (no bird, a mammal of some kind, I think).
12:43ff.: And some crow or raven talking. We don't hear them so often in this area.

17:27:49 ff: Woah! A crash landing in the treetops, then a WTE circles off to the left and returns. I'll try to make a pic, but I have a gut feeling, this was not one of ours......
This is not the best I can offer:
Strange! Our eagles definitely know how to land on and in the tree. They usually do not crash into something, they know the entry. And they don't 'hide' in the tree. There was no calling. Mmh, the tailmarks look more defined, thicker, than 'Smiley's. Maybe someone is able to make a better pic? Or simply to see it more clearly?

19:19: Cam is turned off.
19:45: The cam had a short come-back, but now the stream (at least on my laptop) is buffering like crazy, it's completely unmanageable, i.e.: you cannot even rewind and rewatch (and I would have loved to rewatch the crash-landing sequence with the probably strange WTE). Ah well. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
- Meanwhile, the stream has literally 'recovered'. I've rewatched the sequence, but I'm not wiser than before Noteworthy: No other sound than the crash-landing-noise, no voices before and after. I guess, when the WTE circled back, he flew over the tree top, I didn't hear another landing attempt. And also strange that there was no attempt to check the nest bowl, just nothing. Surprising animals, these WTEs.
