Good morning to all and thank you, as always, IceAge!

Interesting things going on here :D .
When the female arrived at 05:55, she had a really bloody beak from eating (up to the beak base), and this beak had to be cleaned instantly... I guess this was not fish, but something else. - And E 340 brings hay - very nice.

09:19: Short soft calls by 'Smiley', somewhere on the right. E 340 flies over the meadow in search of a 'treasure' or love-gift. He flies forth and back -now, I'd call this courtship behaviour.

09:23: E 340 brings the first branch ever! :loveshower:
09:24: Soft 'kissy-beaky' (oh, I like ame's term for this interaction!)
- Both poke in the bowl, rearrange sticks and twigs, head to head. -
09:31: 'Smiley' tries out the improvements and lies down.
09:33: E 340 flies away, straight over the meadow and vanishes in the woods.
09:34: 'Smiley' jumps onto the p-branch and leaves, flying high to the left .

17:54: 'Smiley' hops into the nest.
17:55: E 340 follows.
Both poke a little in the nest bowl, move twigs and sticks.
17:58: She lies down. E 340 works at the rim of the nest (in front of the middle branches).

18:15 (and before) ff.: What a great sight - they are seriously coordinating their construction attempts. OK, one branch slipped down - but the long one which had been at the left for such a long time, has successfully been moved to the 'front door'. E 340 is busy with cutting and carving the branch, and they are still in a 'kissy-beaky'-mood.

- Many "first times" today regarding the season, the pair. -

18:19: E 340 has discovered some pleasure in cutting things, it seems. Plastic thing in the corner too?

1834: E 340 flies down to the meadow (birches) and fetches more material. (twig or hay? I couldn't see it, because 'Smiley' was in the way.)
18:36: E 340 back in the nest.
18:38: He tries to lie down, but 'Smiley' is more into "you there?-no-not-now" and then 'kissy-beaky'.
18:41: E 340 flies away, circling over the meadow -probably for more .

19:42: Cam was turned off for a minute or so. - And again at 19:43. 'Smiley' is still lying in the nest bowl, very relaxed.
19:46: Looks like someone is testing some functions of the cam???
19:49: On-and-off.

Good morning to all, thank you IceAge!

09:34: 'Smiley' comes home and settles in the nest bowl. (One of the hay bundles was pushed to the nest rim (down right) by the wind.)

18:36: The woodpigeon is singing. Flapping wings, calling, two voices. The pair must have arrived at the tree, but I've no idea where?
(Far on the right? Or below the nest?) :puzzled:

18:40: 'Woody" is still there and continues with his song.

19:56: 'Smiley' and E 340 sing, then 'Smiley' jumps into the nest , coming from the right branch. (Ah, there you were!)
19:58: She lies down in the bowl.

Good day and thank you, IceAge!

'Smiley' swiftly cleans her beak in the bowl.
12:30: She decides to take the p-branch, preening time, turn,
12:48: ...and there she perches and waits and looks around.
12:53: (and before): Something on the ground (or the lower branches) seems to be interesting.
12:55: Back in the nest bowl - sun bathing.
