Look into his eyes - and what do you see? E 340.
23:02: 'Smiley' tucks her beak into her back feathers.
23:03: He stands up, I can hear his 'jingle bells' - yes. All is well.
23:05: E 340 perches on the p-branch and calls (waking up 'Smiley'). But she goes back to sleep again, her mate at her side.

- Unfortunately we missed a very interesting part: chasing away the uninvited guest. -
23:09: They probably started a duet, but the cam is turned off and cuts away the second note ...

Good morning to all, another eagle day!



04:17: E 340 has brought a bundle of hay and restores his bedding. He flies away to the woods straight ahead.

06:32: One nuthatch, 06:44: Two nuthatches on the nest (thank you Inga, YT-chat, for the time stamps! ).

Cam off (mike on): 11:12-11:16; 11:24 - 12:03; 19:37: stuttering, turned off at 19:41 - ...

19:22 ff.: The usual wood pigeon in the tree; out of sight, but you hear its wingflapping, the pigeon is changing branches and, of course: singing.

22:22: Good evening, 'Smiley'!

22:37: 'Smiley' turns on the p-branch and flies away to the woods- position 2 o'clock, there is a darker space in the tree tops (left of the thick right branch), where she vanishes.

Good morning to all, Eagle Day!
But I'm quite puzzled.

09:06: A WTE dives down from an upper branch into the nest bowl, carrying a branch.



Look at the tail marks - I don't know this eagle!






10:01: Still lying in the nest bowl.

10:06: Perching on the p-branch now.

Just an inbetween thought: Could it be that, given the case this is 'Smiley' after all - which the proceedings here will show sooner or later -, the female has started to moult her tail feathers?

and Verotaja, aka Grieta , thinks it is 'Smiley'. I guess she is right! I must pay more attention to the seasonal development of her tail marks

Good morning to all!

09:52: Strange noises, some branches seemed to fall/crack. I didn't see anything, maybe these were just old branches falling down ?

13:27 ff.: A WTE (I think it's 'Smiley') lands on the p-branch, out of breath, heavily panting, her tongue is sticking out.





She then jumps to a lower branch at the right, but unfortunately I have not seen her departure. Phew, I don't like to see her in such a state ...

15:32 (approx.) - cam says good-bye, mike still works.
17:15 (appr.): Cam is back - at least attempts to be back ...

17:34: Sound of an airplane. 17:34:56: Stream stuck.

18:27:35: I hear plumage ruffling - but do not see anything.

18:42 ff.: Cracking sounds, at 18:44: grunting. Wild boar, I guess, maybe somewhere in the brook alley?
