About fish in baskets.
In 10 Aug both baskets filled with not much fish basket 2 ca 70 fish and basket 1 ca 30.
11 Aug no fish brought
12 Aug two times (at noon and evening) both ca 80 fish into basket 2
13 Aug evening more as 200 fish into basket 2 and 10 bigger fish into basket 1 (both were empty)
Trail cameras at baskets do not send always the picture, if baskets are visited. It could be related to weak network in those low and relatively remote places. More caps in pictures from basket 1. But many "empty" pictures from basket 2.
This morning both Karl and grey heron were spotted at basket 2 in 5:39, but probably they were there already earlier.
5:54 only heron visible taking the fish from basket
6:19 and 6:31 only Karl visible, taking the fish or standing with stuffed neck
At the moment no more pictures, where birds visible. But in basket there was more fish as Karl brought to the nest, both small and quite big fish there in basket since last evening.

10:06 all chicks are home. :D

Thank you very much @Urmas for the information.
It is good that fish is still being brought into the baskets, even if only a small part is brought by Karl II. The gray herons are probably fetching something.

The chicks now look well fed just before their journey. The fish baskets have made an excellent contribution to this.
Big thanks again to everyone who made this possible.

The fish must be in the beak, not wrapped around the beak.

According trail camera Karl was fishing at basket in 11:55, walked away from fish basket 2 at 12:06. Could be he had a rest somewhere out of view.
And returned to the basket 13:19, just standing in stream and scratching the head. Maybe there is basket emptied since he brought fish to chicks?

Urmas, with the amount of fish brought in today, it's possible that the basket is empty. An unbelievable amount of fish fits in a small stork :whistling:

13:39 they are listening to a woodpecker
Image

13:49 it must be pretty warm. Everyone breathes with their beaks open. Waba is preening Bonus
Sometimes I wonder if that's preening or eating leftovers
