11:10 Chirping in the tree ...while a flock of small birds are chirping in the tree, H21 is chirping at the top of the branch. Demonstrative, powerful.

Emiliano, relieving, isn't it? :innocent:

She goes up the branch and at 11:15 she comes out to the right and is chased at her exit.
She without discomfort, she returns to her routine, which we are happy about.

A brief sound is heard at 10:50:25 as if it had company.
H44 I think.
You can see movement below as H21 switches to the side branch.
Both go into mutual visual contact.

The visit (cut)

This bird is like an arrow....even at speed 0.25.

I can hardly imagine it was a crow?

13:18 H21 with calls in the area
'21 now close, demanding
"Throw your heart across the river and swim after it."

13:34/35 Crows, farther away, can be heard gurgling.

I was just thinking right now that I was really excited for the return of the chiffchaff.

13:40 Very melodic lute of the pair.
The contact takes on amorous features. :innocent:

15:02 Black woodpecker flying through?

(btw. ...I searched but couldn't find the relevant passage:
It is said that a pair of black woodpeckers bred successfully in this territory.
(As well as Blackbird, which breeds next to the Goshawk))

Or crow ....
I don't know.

15:51 A call near

I still let the camera roll.
Some home and house activity could be heard but nothing more conspicuous from our couple. Which does not mean that they were not present.

It was a beautiful and promising day. The H Team was very present today.

Tomorrow I'm on duty (inventory... :slap: ) but I'm hoping for good news here from you.

Good evening, sleep well.

The pair did not show up at the nest yesterday but were very present throughout the day. There were more shouts:
09:25 ('Gjak' very close)

13:44, '51

14:01 - 04:04 (as reported by you)

14:15 accompanied by a flock of crows
It was very noisy in the field. The Pair was also visible 14:18 - 19 in the tall trees at the edge of the park.
Soft whistles and begging calls could be heard. But also energetic shouts.

16:49 The last call
"Throw your heart across the river and swim after it."

Yes, it actually starts at 08:09:27 ...the couple starts the day together. :innocent:

Not much activity to show for today, a few other things:

We saw a Goshawk on New Year's.
Eve frantically flying through the nest and then into the industrial site.

This suggests that at least one of the couple is sleeping in the tree unnoticed. Even if the first calls of the day usually come from outside.

Secondly, regarding the youth group...
I almost thought they turned up on time during the weekdays. They come so regularly that it must have something to do with bus travel times or class times. From 11:00 a.m. and from 3:00 p.m

I would like to selectively share information from the exchange of views with Ģirts Strazdiņŝ from LDF:
...There is a lot of old trash disposed close to the nest, so they probably are busy with demolishing of that stuff.

Hopefully it will not be interesting for them for a long period of time.
...
I hope Ģirts is right.
Because the happy crumbs were also loudly present today.
Expected time midday and afternoon ...

A thousand thanks to Ģirts from LDF for unflagging my worries. :innocent:

Last of all:
I don't know what triggers it. Since Saturday evening but at least Sunday there has been a local change, which is causing irritation in rainy weather.

Or is it technical?

It sounds like a goshawk short lute but it isn't.

I don't know what's causing it. So don't get confused.

Sleep well!
:offtobed:

In the next few days the weather is neither fish nor meat. Around zero degrees - sometimes a little up, sometimes a little down.
Well, let's wait for spring, the pair together in the nest... and the chiffchaff!

January 31th

Good morning Polly and everyone.

Calls of the day
10:16 , 17 , 45 , 54 , 59
11:11:15-23 ( soft gjak, looks like H44 , we still want to see you)
11:22-23 creaks, sounds and appears to perch hidden behind the trunk.
Then it looks like they are cleaning under the nest but they are the same as always.

Thank you for the answer from Ģirts Strazdiņŝ on the subject of young people, we do not like that they stay for so long since they could change places if it lasts too long. Let's hope the fixation goes away.

Hallo Emiliano!
11:11:15-23 ( soft gjak, looks like H44 , we still want to see you) :hi:
11:22-23 creaks, sounds and appears to perch hidden behind the trunk.
Well! We can even see the Goshawk fluttering up from the lower level...calling.
Most likely H21.

Then it looks like they are cleaning under the nest but they are the same as always.
I assumed so too.
Since I heard such a scratching and breaking of branches. I was pleasantly surprised - which then changed.
I try to accept what is happening, not to document it anymore...what does it change.?
Nevertheless, I stand a little helpless and a little angry 'besides'. This stupid behavior is hard to endure.

The evening, on the other hand, was so peaceful ... hardly any wind, clear, beautiful evening sky. :innocent:

Unfortunately, I didn't hear anything more from our Goshawk.

Yesss... :D
H21 has goals and is energetically pushing forward.

That's all calls 'gathered' now. At the beginning there is a 'first and last' note that I don't think comes from H21. It always seems to be the same call pattern, so always the same message.
Only towards the end, you can hear it too, H21 gets more energetic and seems to be on the move. While H44 (?) can no longer be heard.

"Throw your heart across the river and swim after it."

Am I allowed to steal within our forum?
OK, I do! Our @sova shared something in the WTE topic that I would like to pass on.
Many will recognize each other and smile.

Thanks @sova. :innocent:

WORRIES OF A FIRST YEAR EAGLE WATCHER

Oh, I hope there’s an egg.

Please don’t step on the egg.

You’re going to crush the egg!

The eggs are too cold, too hot, …too neglected.

Oh, when will it hatch?

Where is the pip? It’s been too long!

Roll it more, don’t roll it so much!

OMG, a pip!

That baby needs help hatching!

Mom, help him out!

Keep him warm!

Feed him!

No, that piece is too big!

Don’t leave the nest,

Something will snatch him, kill him, eat him!

He’s too hot…too cold…too neglected!

OMG, he’s going to kill his brother!

Stop pecking your brother!

Feed the little one!

Stop pecking your sister!

Feed the other one!

Feed the other one!

They’re too hot…too cold…too neglected!

OMG, we need taller rails!

Stay by Mom!

Stay in the bowl!

Get away from the edge!

You’re going to fall!

Dad, rein in your babies!

They’re too hot…too cold…too close

To the edge…too neglected!

Look at those feathers!

Look at those wings!

OMG, the wind is going to blow him away!

OMG! They’re too big for the nest!

OMG! He’s going to push him out of the nest!

Oh, the insects are driving him crazy!

Mom! Dad!

They’re too hot…too cold…too neglected!

Wait, that branch is too far!

No, you aren’t ready to fly!

Come back! I’m not ready!

Fly safe, little ones!
