A drowsy quiet late afternoon into dusk, brooding, preen and resettle for the most part.

As before, no deliveries afternoon but a good food day so Anna well content.

20:00 Anna out back for "ablutions" and returns six minutes later with a broadleaf sprig.

Settles back in and as the gloom creeps in, Anna's head goes back (21:51) and she buries in for sleep.

well, food continues to be a morning only affair on this nest, unlike the nest of Laila and Uldis.

Chat shows that Anna flew away alarmed at 10:58 and confusion arose as to who took over duties. Seems that it was Anna back at 11.05 with a sprig and not Andris.

from 13:57 to 17:37, the afternoon was spent brooding, with short intervals of standing, preening and then resettling.

17:37 it seemed Anna would take a break, as she looked out over the rear of the nest for a while, before doing some eagle yoga and resettling.

21:08 Anna's head went into her back feathers and she settled down for the night, with minor preening and position shifting until the camera pixelated into darkness.

My time is short at the moment. I will only be able to document a little until Thursday.

Well, well - actually something to report. An evening delivery of a vole!

16:12 to 19:57 long brood session, minor shifting, preening etc.

Then, Andris flies in with a handsomely sized vole, which Anna swallowed although she had to work at it. Andris steps in for an egg inspection and Anna is her usual disproving self - or so it seems, perhaps it is eagle thanks. Andris exits left and Anna resumes her position.

21:55 Anna exits from the back, returning at 22:03 with empty beak and talons.

A quick egg roll and she settles down as the gloom gathers.

22:32 her head finally swings over and burrows into her back feathers. A full crop, a summer evening, what more could an eagle ask for?

Just those two deliveries it seems but Anna is not going hungry by any means.

18:58 a seven minute excursion for amongst other things, a pine sprig returned to the nest.

Again away at 20:28, with more greenery returned to the nest.

By 22:12 Anna is dozing in dusk light and night steals the light with her sleeping still with head out.
