Once again, food deliveries are mornings only.

16:49-18:52 brooding in same position, getting drowsy.

A lot of thorough preening this evening: 18:53, 19:57, 20:49 resettling in between, some dozing off.

Settled at last 20:53, drowsing.

Went dark with Anna likely already asleep (difficult to say) yet unlike other evenings, she had yet to put her head in her back feathers.

it looked like she wanted to fly away. she changed her mind and covered the eggs again

Anna sleeps early - most of the late afternoon spent with head over to the back and little preening: slow food day so conserve energy?

quick preen 21:14, shift in position and resettle on her precious eggs. And so it went into dusk.

It was a huge water vole . Part of it was visible. It was so heavy that Andris had to carry it in his claws


Anna was pretty hungry. She swallowed it right away
