A question;
Is it known what happened to Uncle Eedi?
Has he come back to the nest ?

Liz, considering that there are not many females, I think we had one Janika.

sova, :hi: according to Urmas, we won't know until the beginning of July. There's a trail camera near his nest.

14:03 he stands up and is singing -- looks to the right and around. It looks like there is someone
14:04 is shaking his plumage
14:07 he is preening himself
14:15 preening is over. Now he is working with the branches
Image

14:19 another healthy ps to the left. He seems interested in the nest. That was not the case with the first male

14:26 he sings
14:33 settles down in the nest again

Interesting, is it the same bird as on 17.04?

14:40 he stands up and is singing again
14:42 he sings again
14:45 he flew away. this time to the right

Juta, I try to take pictures where they are in the same position. Then we can compare (I hope it) It will take a bit.
at first glance it looks like it is the same bird

I will to put the pictures here to compare. I think it is another male.
Yes, they are different storks (for me)

I admit it's not a good comparison. I have to wait to get totally same pictures. So both in the same pose in the same place and preferably in the same light

What's the latest that you've seen a couple getting together and successfully raising storklets?

I'd guess time is now running out, but I'd so love to see at least one more couple on nest 2 or 3.

20:44 he is preening himself.
BTW: he has brought nothing. The same as male on April 17. It seems the nest is ready for him

20:52 he is preening himself. Fingers are crossed, that a female would like to follow him to this nest.

it's still time.but whether it will be successful? I saw a Latvian nest that almost broke my heart. The female left at the normal time and the male had 3 chicks that could not fly yet. It was terrible.food was extremely scarce.

EDIT: on this nest: 02.05.2021 at 14.11 female arrived (Janika ) Breeding was successful

Thanks, Liz. So still some days left with a certain chance. I'm so hoping for old man Kergu...

I guess, if the logistics allow it, if food became the problem for such a "late nest", another fish restaurant could open. I would gladly contribute, that's for sure.
