I am truly sad to see that Kergu is unsuccessful this year.
I still hope that a very young lady will appear, cozy up to him and return to him early next year.

Yes Brofasa!
I'm so sad for Kergu too.
He is a wonderful black stork with a wonderful home and a beautifully padded nest.
Can't believe there isn't a female that chose him.
I keep the fingers crossed that he will find a nice lady next spring. (and that we see a lot of little Kergus and Kergas. :innocent: )

Hello @Francesca_V :hi:
thank you for your daily updates about this nest!

Kergu has been working very hard on the nest and even if it remained empty this year, next year will surely come and Kergu will have another chance.
The nest is prepared and Kergu has a reason to come back.

There is a little change today: the nest has a visitor, a strange black stork.

11:08 visitor looking from a branch on the left
Image

in the nest, very quiet, doing some nest work.
he or she does the nest work very intensively.

12:06 jumps to another branch

12:30 Kergu is back, singing loud and long til 1234
sitting down.

Hello!
From about 12:50 Kergu watches very attentively something/someone on the right just below/at the nest rim. Sounds of a visitor can be heard.

At 12:52 Kergu scares him away. I see only a dark shadow disappearing to the right.
Maybe again the strange stork.

But since I didn't look in here often, I don't actually know who is who.
Ok, obviously were two black storks at about 12:50

Francesca, Biker :hi:

I have saved screenshots of the stranger's visit yesterday. If you don't mind, Francesca, I post them here. Thank you for sticking with reporting about Kergu! :2thumbsup:

“Animals, like us, are living souls. They are not things. They are not objects. Neither are they human. Yet they mourn. They love. They dance. They suffer. They know the peaks and chasms of being.” (G. Kowalski) Caveat: Apart from this remarkable sentence I do not agree with his philosophies.
