these birds must be tough, it looks too cold to even think about nesting / breeding.

FEB. 3.

17.15 Strange whistling sound from outside. Maybe a young agle. B & NF call nearby.
17.18 Two eagles are flying under the nest. NF into BB. Loud calls again. Another eagle flying in front of the nest.
17.26 NF up to RB. Baron is sitting in the left trees for the night. A 3. eagle is still flying around the nest.

FEB. 4.

​08:01;55 duet vocals both.
08:03:09 duet vocals both.
08:16:42 NF flew off from RB. Baron did just before from top of left trees.
08:26 A 3rd eagle out from outmost left tree.

Yellow cirkles are a stranger down left and Baron in take off.

15:13:40 vocals baron and NF
15:25:04 adult flyby
15:31:55 juvie flew off
16.54 Evening duet
17.17 Baron into BB. NF into the left trees followed by song.

08.04 Song.
08.21 NF out from left trees to the right.
09.01 Baron out to the left from BB. Followed by song.
17.36 Baron into the nest.
17.40 Baron out. It really wants NF to visit the nest and be in charge. Reconstruction and courtesy is needed very soon. If a breeding attempt will take place. The hour is getting late.

Time is running out for a breeding attempt at this nest in this year!!!

FEB. 18.

11.53 Baron into LB followed by NF on top. Calls during flight and landing. Warning calls (?)
12.22 NF out.

FEB. 19.

There will not be a breeding attempt by WTE in the nest this year. WTEs have decided that.
Why NF still is not ready to breed is the question?
NF has no interest in nest bowl what so ever. It is almost scared to land on the nest or to take rest.
No interest in reconstruction. And NF is just following Baron like other youngsters follows experienced
adults to get some food.
Hormon system in the body of NF is not in breeding mode yet.

11.27 Baron in with a hadless Lumpfish. After second Baron leaves the nest and NF comes in. NF flies after Baron.
11.28 Baron into the nest. NF to the top right.
12.00 Baron out with the fish. It did not eat at all.

12.36 - In windy conditions Baron camo to the nest folowed by NF

Baron tried some reconstruction and moved some sticks. But no interest in that from NF.

12.40 Baron out the left. A little later NF out.

MAY 8.

No eagles breeding try in this nest this year.
Baron and NF are not seen or heard the last month.
07.47 until 07.54 - This morning a Greylag Goose visited the nest

AUG. 5.

No eagles at the nest this summer. And no eagles are heard around the nest.
Norwegian Angelica - Angelica archangelica - has occupied the nest in full bloom.

Some calls have been heard from Baron the last week.
