Hailuoto-Marjaniemi Osprey cam - 2010

(added by bociany 10 April 2010)
more good news:
Ploughboy has negotiated with Voitto Pulkkinen, the administrator and owner of the Hailuoto osprey nest webcamera, and V.P. has agreed that images from the webcam may be posted for example here on LKF.
(thank you, Ploughboy! )
here is the text of the agreement:
-----------------------
All screen capture images from the Hailuoto-Marjaniemi Osprey-nest webcam are available for use in non-commercial and non-profitable connections, but use by media such as television, newspapers etc. is prohibited.
Recording and presenting of recorded video stream in other than private use is prohibited.
Screen captures may be uploaded and stored in commercial photo-hosting websites, such as Photobucket, ImageShack, Flickr, Pic-Upload, etc.
If screen capture images from the Hailuoto-Marjaniemi Osprey-nest webcam are posted to any website, forum or blog, the name of the original owner of the image copyrights must mentioned: © Voitto Pulkkinen.
Posting of videos from Hailuoto-Marjaniemi Osprey webcams to any website is prohibited.
The rights of all the images from Hailuoto-Marjaniemi Osprey webcams are reserved by the original copyright owner, Voitto Pulkkinen.

-----------------------
in the above i've emphasized the important points with bold text: pictures are allowed, videos are not allowed, and he strongly wishes that his copyright is clearly shown/mentioned with the pictures.
(couldn't he add it into the pictures so that it would be automatically there?)
this is a great improvement from the previous, and i think we should very happy and grateful for Voitto Pulkkinen's permission to capture and post Hailuoto pictures.
now we'll just wait to see the camera online for the new season!

Hello hier!
Yes, that is graet
I`l bring you now greetings from Hailuoto and our camera man Voitto Pulkkinen
The camera will be open in the first week of April. The camera is better than earlier one and the camera pole is steady and firm, it has been hammered in to the marsh last autumn. The video camera will be open later. We can now use screen snapshots during this nesting season in our writings and discussions in the net forums.
Of course normal copyright laws are also valid concerning these screen snapshots, as Ame just did say!
But now there is still lots of snow ...
Moose did take this picture some days ago from this web- cam: http://weathercam.vaisala.net/banner/we ... d=hailuoto

i've understood that there will be a camera there, at the same nest as last year. and we have the permission to capture picture from this cam this year!
but the camera is not online yet... last year it was set up on March 7th, so i think it's about high time gradually... on the other hand there sooo much snow and the sea is quite froze even 650 km South of Hailuoto in Nauvo near Turku at our other osprey nest, so i don't think it is too late.

Beautiful! I am very happy that you can share the pictures this year. The eagle is a juvenile, I guess, since the tail is not white yet?

Very unusual guest at ospreys nest today.
Normally white storks don't fly as north as this one.

This osprey arrived this morning just before seven o'clock and it might
be the same male as last year.
