5.Excuse me, please: where can I find the Sea Eagle?
A walk around the Gartower See. Tourist leaflet - from kids for kids (in German language)
The Gartower See is a lake near the small city Gartow at the Elbe river in Germany, province of Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony). It´s a WTE habitat.
This folder is the result of the project “Nature Experience – Sea Eagle Observation”. It was a project of 10-12 year old pupils (basic school Gartow) and the NABU Niedersachsen (NABU = Nature and biodiversity conservation union). It shows kids which kind of birds and other animals they can observe around the lake. The seven points at the map are “learning stations”: kids are invited to explore and protect nature.

8.Many nations have beautiful eagle stories
Those stories can be the topic in geography, art and English classes as well. Maybe good for a play?
This one is from Australia. It´s a Dreamtime story, told by the Bardi people of Cape Leveque.
The Sea Eagle and the Gull
"There was a balance between all of the animals, with each taking only what they needed. The sea eagle would make sure that no one was eating more than his or her share, so there was always enough for everyone."
Source: Marine Education Society of Australasia (MESA), Fisheries Group of BIRD (Department of Business, Industry and Resource Development, Northern Territory)
See Marine and Fisheries Education Kit, Module 1 for early childhood learners http://www.mesa.edu.au/friends/nt/default.asp

11.Big Schools' Birdwatch UK
Run every January and February, the Big and Little Schools' Birdwatches are free activities for all UK schools and youth groups (brownies, scouts etc).
Get involved in our next Schools' Birdwatch, 24 January–4 February 2011, and you'll not only be taking part in the world's biggest birdwatch, but also helping us monitor UK bird numbers.
This simple activity is for all ages and abilities and is a great way to get to know more about the wildlife visiting your school grounds. If you don't have school grounds, don't worry! You can still take part by visiting a local park.
But best of all, it only takes an hour to complete, and is rich in curriculum links.

18.White-tailed sea eagles 'teachers' appointed, UK, February 2012
RSPB Scotland has made appointments to two new posts it has created to improve knowledge in schools of white-tailed sea eagles.
Dr Alison MacLennan, RSPB conservation officer for Skye and Lochalsh, said: "The RSPB sets great store in introducing young people to the wonders of nature and it doesn't get much more wonderful than our magnificent white-tailed eagles. I would welcome any other schools interested in the project to contact me to take advantage of the scheme."
