Saturdays´ food arrived - grain, pellets and acorns :shake:
Mait threw some acorns into the hay in the back of the feeding ground - piggies will have to dig for it :D
And Mait had a sun aura :D

Piggies are here now - and their first choice every time are the grains --- later, when it is eaten, they take the pellets and acorns .....

(I have not logged on till now because I had a scare last night. My sister called late in the evening to say our father was in a bad way. We waited until late into the night & then all day today to see how things would turn out. Now it seems he has improved & is resting, but of course he is very depressed as his heart disease progresses.)

I will probably not watch the cams till late this evening, as I am tired. But just now I was watching siga 1 cam & saw two RDs come into the muddy food arena. One went to the back where there is a little mound covered with hay, & it lay down for a while on the hay. The other, the bobbed-tail one, then joined it & sat close as if watching over it. They must be a "married" couple or a courtship pair.

A couple of those birds are really yellow.

It is amazing how well even the relatively large jays can hide on the ground as it is now.

Good morning to everyone!

Still quiet at the cam, a few birds are coming and going (unfortunately I have no sound, maybe they are making noises). Yesterday I've heard swans passing over, at least I think the "honking" noise was swans. Or maybe geese?

We've had the first "summer" weekend in Germany, Saturday was the warmest Saturday since weather recording started! It was really terrific and one could see nature explode into green and blooms. I really could watch the trees in my street turning greener and greener - Friday they were absolutely leafless and Saturday by lunchtime most of them were already green! Hard to imagine there's still snow in Estonia! Hope the warmth soon arrives there as well.

And to Kitty my best wishes and lots of strength. I lost my father last summer, I know what it feels like to worry and hope!

Have a good day everybody!

One day I thought I heard geese. I think our common Swans (not very common) -- Whistling Swans -- are pretty quiet, while our Geese -- Canada Geese -- are quite noisy on their flights

(Felis you might like to set up a thread for Spring in Germany -- or your region -- in the Seasons forum. It is sort of nice to hear of your weather here for comparison to what we see here, but I would love to have more activity in the Seasons forum viewforum.php?f=30)
