One more video devoted to a strong bird-eagle!

this is rather sophisticated camera: it can zoom and turn so that the "scenery" can change. it seems that the camera must be in some kind of housing and it can be moved around in it without the eagles seeing it. therefore it can give an eagle eye's view around the nest!

In it it is good to see video as stronger baby bird the leadership, mum to the weak wins does not help, she has not fed him

they are so tiny and already ready to fight! they were beak wrestling and they are only two or three days old and smaller is even younger! (it looked like arm wrestling http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz0ZyeUJSCw)
the smaller then pretended to be dead. i think the mother-eagle offered some food to it but it didn't move.

There are reports as of about noon our time today (8 PM EEST) that the third chick is beginning the process of pecking its way out of the eggshell. They say it should be out anytime in the next 24 to 48 hours.

OMG!!! Just now as I was watching & typing this post, the third chick is nearly out! Mom stood up & there it was, pushing its little naked, pink self out!

Wow the chick still in the open egg is quite the capture.

I was amazingly lucky! I happened to notice Mom was moving as if to stand up, then WOW, there was the opened egg with the chick struggling free.

It seems it is difficult to get all three chicks at once to be content. "Settle down, you rowdy youngster. It is time for bed!"

I found a Y-tube video of the third egg hatching. The first half of this I did not see, as I was not watching then. I observed from where the video says "7:02" (PM-- we don't usually use 24 hr clock designations). It's a wonderful documentation of the entire process. Sounds in the background include a horse, mourning doves, other birds, & traffic.

It is video I has photographed on April, 06th, 2011, but to expose on the necessary forum I am not able, but the moment interesting (in a nest two baby birds and one egg), therefore I have decided to expose on forum Looduskalender. And we can understand your comments just fine. I am glad you are enjoying our American eagles. They are a close cousin to the European white-tailed eagle.
