MN-DNR: YaY E1 is "down under" and safe on a lower branch...but she seems hungry and has to move back to the nest or fledge, that's the way it is.

A word from your ever vigilant Admin staff.

We are all concerned about the status of E1 now that she has fludged but a few things we must consider.

These are birds. While it's easy to assign them human feelings and emotions this is an exercise in futility. While I personally find "Trust the Eagles" a bit dismissive at times, at this juncture and given the current situation that really is the best approach.

There are several photographers that visit the nest with regularity and I've been in contact with them all. If something is amiss, rest assured the proper authorities will be contacted.

Which brings me to my next point. We are very fortunate to have a DNR official as a regular contributor to this page which means she -and they- are monitoring the situation.

One last thought and I've said it before; be respectful of differing opinions. We're all pulling on the same rope here lets keep that in mind.

MN-DNR: Eaglet 1 - Thomas Demma wrote >
Found her.
She's essentially in the same spot she was a couple days ago,
maybe a few feet further out on the limb.
She's got plenty of shade and can easily be fed from this location.

I'm glad she managed her safe return. This eaglet E1 must had a good survival instinct from the beginning: step by step - try or error - well done. E1: There she comes
