To stand in the middle of these clouds is amazing! Their voices, the flapping of the wings, the sky that suddenly turns black ...

Liana, Sova, :hi: it's nice that you like my pictures. :D It was a sunny day and the snow was gone. The sun
stands very low, so everything looks like bathed in golden light.

Yesterday more than 100 whooper swans flew past my house. I couldn't get my camera. I am too fascinated. They flew under the clouds cover, so they were almost close enough to touch. I think I stood by the window with my mouth open and counted them
What is really unbelievable is that their wings flap in perfect sync. That sounds like a melody. They also sing ... beautiful!

Medows and fields are still full of Cranes, Geese and whopper swans...

a few picture of Cranes and geese. I don't like taking pictures of them at the moment because I'm afraid I'll disturb them. There are currently few hiding places because the trees and bushes are leafless
Image

only one juvenile is nearby...

My favorite bird is the Red-winged blackbird which is super noisy and rebellious (they visit my backyard often). I also love the red cardinal.

a swallow couple. They live there at the pump station. I think their nest is under the pump station. Could it be that the water flooded it?
I found it unusual that they sat there on the stones and didn't move away.
