Do you think one has flown, or is he walking around the chimney?

Alice: I think he has gone yesterday. At 11:09 I saw "him" the last time - since then he was never to see. The left one has got food - but today I couldn't see wether one of the parents were here or not. I am not watching all the time.
Greetings from Bleggi :hi:

edit: How I mentioned on some reports I was wrong with leaving of the first kid. It was between the evening of the 17th and the morning of my first pic of 18th May. I think it has been left in the morning of the 18th or do somebody think that they love to fly at night? I think it is better in the early morning - :puzzled:

Since I got my new computer I can hardly watch two cams
-- one will freeze
-- or both will show the same picture

and since I somehow became a Lesser Spotted Eagle watcher almost full time. I have had a hard time checking in on the ravens. I have only seen the one today, but I trusted your judgment more than mine.

The one looks kind of lonely and sad with his tail feathers blowing in the breeze.

I have just looked for a name for this last raven and only found female names on the calender of Estonia like "Emilie, Emma, Miili, Milja, Milla, Milli". So for me I change the first female name in a male one which is a well known one in Germany: "Emil".
When I talk about the last one, I will always call him so.
"Emil" is exercising - but only a little bit. Perhaps he has too cold and will wait until the afternoon

Emil seems a good name for a raven.

Alice: I can also watching only one cam and so I am the most time with the ravens because I noticed that this cam has not so many persons who writing. Perhaps many of them are watching, too. But you must be very patient all the time to see what happens - the sun or the darkness showed not the best pictures of the ravens when they have not the black colour. Before they have been grey or I don't know what colour it was. On days like today the body of the black "Emil" is good to see. Only sometimes it is a puzzle where is the head and where the tail.....
I switch through sometimes a day to the other cams and go back to Emil. When he leaves I will turn to the Latvian Eagle most time.
All the best and have nice dreams

12:20 - 12:21 Here begin the last exercises before leaving. I have many pics and like to show what wonderful feathers he had - our "Emil". I think he was waiting for a name so he will not get lost in the wide world... Before leaving he looked down to Talinn and it seemed as he would be full of longing for his family:

Bleggi it was rather impressive that you caught at least one of them leaving. I wonder where they go now.

They are really gone now?
Really sad (for us), but I wish them a happy and adventurous life  It was nice to watch them growing up!
How often do ravens raise chicks? Maybe the next ones will be coming soon? It's still early in the year.

Felis silvestris. Here is partly the answer

http://www.looduskalender.ee/en/node/10240

"The young remain in parental care, learning wisdom and skills for life, until the breeding season next year, or until March"

Thank you, Juta, for the information, and also the really amazing photos you made from the chimney!
:slap: maybe I should look at the looduskalender front page a bit more often! Yes, "raven mothers" (and parents) are really no bad parents!
It was an interesting time!

The raven camera ends today.

This has been a good webcam and topic. Remember that rainbow - wonderful capture!

This topic will be archived in a day or two. Others may still want to comment, and there is no reason to rush to put it away.
