This archive provides access to an extensive Ornithological literature of international scope, and detailed material documenting the history of Ornithology in North America over the last 120 years.

The SORA project is an open access electronic journal archive and is the product of a collaboration between the American Ornithologists Union, the Cooper Ornithological Society, the Association of Field Ornithologists, the Wilson Ornithological Society and the University of New Mexico libraries and IT department.

10.Baltic Marine Environment Bibliography 1970-

The Baltic Marine Environment Bibliography covers bibliographic information on the Baltic Sea, i.e. all marine areas from the Gulfs of Finland and Bothnia in the east and north to the Belt Sea and Kattegat in the west. It contains references to reports including "grey literature", journal articles, books, conference proceedings, dissertations etc. The bibliography covers material from the year 1970, currently over 13 000 references.

The subject coverage includes all aspects of the marine environment of the Baltic Sea, for example ecology, fauna and flora, fisheries, hydrography, pollution, environmental impact, research, planning and administrative measures. Noticeable part of references deal with pollution problems. They cover nearly 40 % of the references. The geographical coverage includes the whole Baltic Sea area, i. e. marine areas from the Gulfs of Finland and Bothnia in the east and north to the Belt Sea and the Kattegat in the west.

Choose the function: "more"/"books". Give in a keyword. If you choose "full view" at the left side of the page, you can read whole books online.

In many cases (especially if you are looking for historical sources) there´s also the option to make a pdf copy. If this option is available, you will see the button "Download PDF" in the headline at the top of the right, when you "opened" the book.

(Museum für Naturkunde – Leibniz Institute for Research on Evolution and Biodiversity at the Humboldt University Berlin).

The collection consists of around 110,000 recordings of animal voices. The collection comprises recordings of 1,800 species of birds, 580 species of mammals, more than 150 species of arthropods, some fish, amphibian and reptilian species and a large collection of human voices. One third of the animal recordings was made in the wild and two thirds in captivity. Wild animals were mainly recorded in Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, especially Mongolia, some in Northern and Central America and Antarctica.
