Hi Starling,

I will try posting a pic in a little bit.
The Alcoa BE live in a really nice area. Along the Mississippi River so lots of fish. They also catch turtles, have seen many empty turtle shells in the nest. Would like to see them catch one, don't think I want to see them eat it.

Hey

Stephis video is finished and you can watch it there

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06a5gSfy7oo

Hope you like it

Lyrics in german and english to read:

german:

[niemals] vergessen

Was ich finde hat mich gelehrt
Was ich verliere hat mir nie gehört
Was mich tröstet bleibt mir verwehrt
Mich hält letztlich das was mich zerstört

Was ich berühre bleibt unentdeckt
Was mir begegnet hat mich erstickt
Was mich belebte war vor mir versteckt
Ich war schließlich das was dich bedrückt

... will ich vergessen
... muss ich vergessen

Was wir versuchen was ist schon sicher
Was heißt Vertrauen wenn alles zerbricht
Was uns verbindet ist Alles und Nichts
Ich schließlich habe die zwei Gesichter

... will ich vergessen
... muss ich vergessen
... will ich vergessen
... muss ich vergessen

Kann niemals vergessen

NIEMALS vergessen

english:

[never] forgotten

What I find has taught me
What I lose has never belonged to me
What comforts me is denied to me
Ultimately what keeps me destroys me

What I touch remains undetected
What I meet has choked me
What vitalised me was hiding from me
I finally was what troubles you

... I want to forget
... I must forget

What we try what is yet safe
What means trust when everything shatters
What unites us is everything and nothing
I eventually have the two faces

... I want to forget
... I must forget
... I want to forget
... I must forget

Can never forget

NEVER Forget

Wonderful, and painful, it all came back to me. Stephi had some struggles in her short life.
She gave us many wonderful moments..lucky us <3

Thank you so much, snApe1118

Have been checking in on the bird map daily and am so excited to see that Piret is finally on the move North!
The instinct to migrate - still amazes me.
Can't wait til April!

Getting really excited as the season draws nearer and am so pleased that Piret is heading back.
Here in the UK the Osprey start arriving at the end of March, Loch Garten female usually arrives around 24th.
Here's hoping that Madis the magnificent is also on his way. My prayers go out to all these wonderful migratory birds who travel such vast distances and return to breed.
It is wonderful to see so many familiar names on these pages and a big hello to all.
Can someone please tell me if the web page is the same as last year?? (for the live cam) Thanking you in anticipation.

The exact address of the camera we will get when it is installed. Generally not much is changed (last year the stream was changed to JWplayer), but we will let everyone know as soon as we know anything definite!

I created this video with pleasure but sometimes with tears in my eyes.

It took time and I needed breaks because it reminded me of many things.

Hahahhaa: Eden: I understood almost everything although it was in german language :loveshower:
Have to say one thing.... In Sweden they had to shoot a lot of wolves, because they were too inbread. Due to: that wolves that tried to get from Finland to Sweden, were poached on their way. And....the swedish government has tried to get our finnish government, to allow to "move" some wolf packs.....but this our government IS really finished with that suggestion. I'm pleased off!
But what I mean...In normal "life", alpha female wolves DO NOT have such thing going on. But, if his alpha wolf is deceased, and she is young, she may find a new male. But no never two at a time ;) That's cats!
Eden wrote:It was absolutely new for me too, but I can name a source:
http://www.wald.de/der-europaeische-wolf-canis-lupus-l/

Lebenszyklus:

Before and afterwards, the female will copulate with male wolves of lower degree. A good trick in order to achieve that all wolves will take care of the offspring. It could be their own.

It’s indeed hard to believe that the male boss of a wolf pack will allow that other wolves copulate with his spouse. Not even dogs would tolerate that.

Anyhow – take my statements in the story as poetic licence :loveshower:

Hi all,
There are thoughts that the Alcoa osprey has laid eggs. Can not see into the bowl of the nest, to know for sure, but she spends all her time on the nest even at night. Finally fixed the sound so can hear them talking.
Dad spends a lot of time chasing off turkey vultures that hang around the area also. They are an interesting bird also.

Here is the link to the osprey nest at Yadkin.

On this forum, we have a category for webcams supported by Looduskalender, and a category for webcams not supported by Looduskalender. We have called these "Other Webcams"
As the number of webcams grows each year we need to rationalise the order in which webcam topics are listed. Re-organisation will be by species, rather than by country.
For instance, the Polish WTE webcam is not a Looduskalender webcam so it has been moved to the other category.

More webcam topics will be moved in the near future.

If you can't find a particular topic, please check on the Index page. index.php
or PM to an admin. We will do our best to help.

Asd LSE topics are now closed, I'll place the info here.

If I understood the new messages right(but google translation was very bad), two Latvian LSE nests will be soon available to watch. They don't know if Metra&Macho stay in the same place, but the cam is installed. There will be also the cam in Gints&Grieta nest.
