I think the rain I hear was just drops falling on the cam, by now it's beautiful and sun comes out. Lots of birds heard, a coal tit went through the nest, unfortunately too fast for me. Watching the scene is like meditating!

in the morning i was able to peek and managed to see a great tit visiting the nest, too!
in this video the sound is again misplaced as usual: the tit ratlled on the camera after it flew out of the nest. there was not another tit on the camera and this one in sight.
- sooner or later one of the tits will peek inside the camera.
edit:
now i see above that Riitta has already caught one of them!
edit again: sorry LUCY, the pictures of the peeking tits were yours, not Riitta's.
...sorry, i've got this same head all year round...

the image quality is so phantastic now with a new camera and a clear lens.
also the sound quality is so clear with no extra hizzing or cricking. there are a lot of bird's voices from the forest and from the shore: jays, crows, swans and mallards. i think i've heard wigeon's voices, too.
the pictures which VLC gives as screenshots are so big (1024 pixels wide and 768 pixels high) that they need to be resized to a smaller size (max 800 wide and that will give 600 high).
if someone needs help in refreshing the memory about how to do resizing of pictures one can have a look here:
viewtopic.php?p=226040#p226040
and a summary about how to take snapshots or record videos and stuff like that:
viewtopic.php?p=240260#p240260
but i suppose most of you who have noticed that this camera restarted to work are well familiar with these things.

i have checked for my amusement the Pontu-pictures that have been taken so far. i found out that there has been a real invasion of great tits investigating the nest this morning.
the first tit was on the nest at 8:38
at 8:55 there were three tits! i think that the one on the right is flying up towards the camera. one is peeking out through an opening between branches in the bottom.

it seems that from 9:11 to 9:14 one tit was making a very thorough investigation of the nest.
9:12 on the left (or the first picture) changing places and 9:13 on the right (or the latter) peeking inside the nest.
9:14 "hmmm... did i forget something? "

at 9:27 one tit was on the nest and some other bird was in the tree behind the nest. that may be a tit as well or maybe a nuthatch. i have heard nuthatch's voice here today. there have also been a lot of swan voices from the background.
(unfortunately we can't see the sea from this angle; i think that camera may be placed higher that earlier and/or it is looking more down than earlier.)
