Hi Biker
oh yes, there are minis here too.
Sometimes the adults are down and the dwarfs climb through the tree.
Actually only owls are missing here.
Have a nice and cozy evening everyone!

I was about to send the tablet into the night and thought there were two sheep there.
No doubt about it - I need glasses or a vacation.
In fact, there are two raccoon dogs. What specimens ... an impressive amount * of fur.
I find it fascinating what happened next - the fox is approaching and everyone is amicably in gentle restraint and respect in society.

Yesterday Morten Hilmer was interviewd about his Wildlife in the Forest camera by Danish television. It will be aired tonight at 21:00 on DR1, the programme is called TV Avisen. No idea if it can be seen outside Denmark. And, it will be in Danish of course...
But it is a big compliment for Morten who already has 460.000 subscribers from all over the world

Yes, that was the big topic yesterday. I almost had the feeling that even Morten was too busy.
I think he's too shy for so much attention himself.
Well, in the background, brave tits defiantly stole their food after they pestered Morten and the TV team for a long time.
Oh, compliments back and forth ... in the end, this place isn't that very special. There are many lovingly cared-for feeding stations around the world that are streamed.
My reference is the proximity to my vacation spot and the idyll, which is mainly conjured up by the babbling of the stream.
Why this stream is so popular ... is probably due to the loving chat with great current information and the fact that this camera simply runs reliably.
That’s worth a lot.
And you can observe the phenomenon there as well as here in the forum - crowds attract crowds. Where many people come together, others are attracted.Lots of people are crazy about entertainment - no matter where. Simple principle.
Even if there are other interesting places.
Morten Hilmer has now bought a piece of land which he would like to hand over to himself. It won't change anything ... every branch, no matter how small, will remain nature and untouched. That corresponds to my conception of nature.
Well ...
After experience and research, I have become rather critical of Denmark itself. I have already written that in other subjects (Golden Eagle Latvia). Radical ... incomprehensible when it comes to the settlement of the wolf or the killing of the entire wild boar population.
Still a good place to stay (for me), as unfortunately my interests cannot really be satisfied anywhere at the moment.

It will be a mystery to me how you can see so well @sigge.
Yesterday I only had loading circle ... the stream hardly ran at all.
Beautiful animals ...
This feeding place seems to be reserved. No four-legged friends .... (except for the food).

One more:
9:45 a juvenile again:
Maybe the fourth juv. in just two days
On 1212 there was a ringed one with black on the right leg.
Have no clue on the breeding season in Scandinavia or Baltic states this year but it looks good.
@Polly you should use this: http://www.webbkameror.se/djurkameror/s ... _1_640.php
If you feel bored you could always try to help dechiffering the eagles here
Here are the schemes:

I'm trying to be brief ...
We vacation in Denmark at least three times a year.
We hike almost exclusively through heathland and forests - our destination is not the sea.
Our holiday home is located in the Heidegiet. Agricultural areas, heather and light forest groups.
The decline in deer and foxes is striking. We also hear less owls ... but more and more crows. And only now in November we saw buzzards and hawks very strongly. Somehow something has shifted.
Eagles can be seen well in the fjords.
I can't speak for all of Scandinavia, but even here in Denmark animals will have a harder time in the future.
It is being upgraded, natural areas are being sealed for tourism and agricultural areas are a thorn in the side of many.
The food chain will also be interrupted to a not inconsiderable extent here in the future.
Well, the influx of * artificial feed sources may not be accidental.
Unfortunately, it is precisely these feeding places that will one day be the last chance to find reliable food.
Perhaps that is also the reason why so many Juvenile can be seen. Those who have a hard time in their independence anyway.
Which we would never have seen in previous circumstances, when there was enough simple free food. Who knows...
Incidentally, it was a very quiet day in Denmark today.
Are the animals insulted, frightened or do the mild temperatures ensure that they retreat outside the camera zone?

Life returned to Denmark today.
I did not see deer or fox but the feathered faction filled the patch of earth today very socially again.
09:12/13 The sparrowhawk was again unsuccessful.
Already at 09:11 the first birds began to retreat. Later, but then sweet to see, a pheasant pressed itself firmly to the ground. Typical like chickens .... He (rather she) got up again and then the sparrowhawk came. Good / unfortunate timing. How you can see it. Sparrowhawk stayed hungry and the pheasant can continue to be a guest here.
Unfortunately, the time is given without seconds. Too bad. It would have been worth a video. But for me, videos there are too expensive in relation to interest.
No stream in southern Sweden today?
@sigge, can you confirm that?

This hawk girl seems to be an integral part of this community by now.
A few days ago I reported - also an attack on the pheasant girl under the tree. That day I doubted - goshawk or sparrowhawk. Almost too big for Sparrowhawks but too brown in the chest for Goshawk. So in my opinion a female sparrowhawk. Here are some very unfortunate screenshots ...
Pheasant pressed on the ground after his pike jump.
Sparrowhawk flies to him almost directly. At the same time, however, the pheasant flees into the bushes.
What you can't see like that - the sparrowhawk flew to the pheasant. He had apparently already fixed him the whole time. But all good - for the pheasant. The sparrowhawk stayed on the branch for a while, while the pheasant managed to escape repeatedly (observed by me twice).
Well cats have seven lives. How many lives does this female pheasant have?
There are, however, several females. It may be that they were different.

Joy of the evening - the fox. Really very warming for me to see him.
I don't want to believe he's sick ...
He actually seems to be finding some food in the trickle. What can it be?
Too cold for frogs, mice probably not in the water ... Snails?
At 19:26 you can see him gasping for something and swallowing for a moment.
Good night, everyone stays healthy!
I will have a little less time in the future.
@Marfo

Polly, I looked a little today and it was running, no eagles seen.
Here is a TV-show about the Royal Golden Eagle pair at Store Mosse, Fox and Foggy:

It's only in swedish but nice pictures

He was here again today from 10:28:
Left side:
The coverts look young? but the tail is fully adult:
Finland uses the rings from Eagle-72 so the rings are switched left-right, it was ringed in 2003
14:48 ad male Goshawk
Another example of switched rings is the swedish 240H from 2003 that showed up again at Store Mosse last week:
http://utfodringen.se/nytt2122.htm
Edit: the eagle is more likely a 4th winter, ringed in 2018
