08:38 Alla in the nest.
She fiddles, pecks.
Out in '39

08:40 back
She leaves the nest when Ruudi can be heard in flight.

08:41 Alla is digging

08:45 Alla brings a bigger branch. She doesn't work much. Is rather attentive.
'47 'Gjak' by Ruudi and Alla leaves the nest.

08:49 Ruudi and Alla tweet in different tones.

08:50 Alla comes into the nest and keeps calling. Ruudi answers from the outside.
In '51 Alla digs the nest floor. Outside 'Gjak' by Ruudi.

I found and corrected mix-ups. :dunno:

09:01 Ruudi comes into the nest, shouting loudly and carrying a small branch.

'03 Alla with 'Gjak' from outside

Ruudi rushes - mating

09:28 Now it is Alla who comes into the nest, shouting loudly. She is very busy building her nest today - small branch for the children's room project.

A Jay creaks nearby... :innocent:

10:48 Ruudi comes loudly into the nest, and Alla quickly calls out from nearby.

Here it is good to note that picture and sound are not synchronous.
Sometimes it's so unclear who is actually calling. And matings are already running acoustically while one is still in the nest.

magic ... :rotf:
But not that bad.
Being able to track the camera is great. And Urmas Abel obviously also gives information in the chat - even if he didn't answer my question about the nest.

11:50 Ruudi and Alla can be heard and they offer all the nuances of their tonal range.

Ruudi in '51, Alla can still be heard from the outside.

11:53 Alla calls - Ruudi follows

long mating

Well, even a season later, my videos aren't any optically or technically seeming YouTube hits.
You know it - I like to collect lutes. I like their calls....they are very multifaceted.

I'm sorry - whoever is going to sort all this into a new topic is going to have a lot of work.

11:54 Soft tones before Alla comes into the nest in '54. Not quite as soft, but rather loud. :D

She fiddles .... crows nag half-heartedly in the background. Alla listens to them relaxed.

12:02 Alla back with a stick.
When building a nest, it is often concentrated in the area around the trunk of the nest tree. While Ruudi prefers the expansion on the other side of the nest.
But it can be a momentary impression.

12:09 Alla continues to build and brings a larger stick into the nest.

Out in '12, calls to follow

12:15 Ah, Ruudi is also there. :D He also brings a branch.

His moment as a nest builder is short-lived.
12:16 Alla calls  ...Ruudi doesn't seem impressed, but heeds her call...

I was hoping for the siesta... the usual rest after the mid-morning active period.
If the Latvian nest comes online and I'm not free, I'll have a management problem. :rotf:

12:19 Alla in
'21 out

12:24 Alla in
Ruudi sends you a 'gjak' from outside and Alla leaves the nest.

12:33 Alla can be heard begging nearby.
'34 Ruudi comes to the nest ... Alla's calls continue ...

12:36 Mating

For a moment today I thought they were neglecting their pairings compared to yesterday.

ok forget it.
Ruudi and Alla are really speeding up!!!

13:02 Ruudi in and out ...

13:03 Pairing number 7 today

13:10 Ruudi in and out again ...

...take a deep breath
14:08 I note - siesta

Time to think also pleased to note that this nest is not stalked by crows. Even if they can be heard occasionally.

We may be able to see the Latvian Goshawk Nest again soon.
I remember too well how crows besieged the nest more and more aggressively and fearlessly and pursued our H's.
In my opinion, we shouldn't underestimate crows.

14:54 It actually remains with no visible activity.
However, it does not mean that Ruudi or Alla are not present.
Ruudi paid a short visit...step visit.

Do we have Alla and a woodpecker here?
This is where professionals come in. I rule out an imitation of a Jay. ?

16:04 I think contact calls

Ruudi calls near. Fast sounds, soft short sounds

Alla answers from a greater distance

16:04 Ruudi in the nest. He comes flapping loudly.

Ruudi leaves the nest after a cracking/rustling sound on the nest tree.
(It's possible the rustling heard is its take-off noise. Difficult - camera and audio are out of sync)

Yes, Ruudi was here 16:12 - 14
Image

He's pretty dark in his distinctive markings.

I don't know how I could have mixed up Ruudi and Alla this morning...sorry again.
I work with 2-3 devices. Handy of it mostly only for reading or short articles without picture. One of the tablets has a completely different color scheme.

Alla also looks dark on this device. But Alla is paler, her head isn't as distinctive/dark, and she doesn't have that dark hood. But rather this drawing of the cross. I always call it cross of a garden spider.

Alla

Ruudi

The color of the eyes also seems to depend very much on the light. I first saw Alla in the morning light. Her eyes looked almost orange. It is not so. In fact, I cannot assume that Alla is a mature lady.

Well, apart from the station and the ring. I was probably still tired...

I guess not much happens today.
I let the camera run until dark (currently I'm running after).

Nest status - yes, I'm thrilled. :innocent:
Image

Ruudi and Alla are hardworking - in every respect.

I'll report later tomorrow.

@Hellem, thank you for the timestamp and the Informations! :2thumbsup:

@lianaliesma
Yes, a separate topic would be nice.
Our administration has already written to Liz. I think when there is time there will be a separate topic. I tried but yes...of course I don't have the rights.
I personally can not actively write in two forums. I don't trust myself to document in Latvian either. I think there would be crazy posts...even English is sometimes confused reading myself.

Best wishes :innocent:

Let's go .... :2thumbsup:

First, I notice that the stream jumps. 05:040 to 08:48
I think there will have been 1-2 matings and nest activity. I'm still winding but my previous impression - today Ruudi and Alla run a little calmer through the day.

10:03 'Gjaks' in the field, then Alla follows with her little white skirt into the nest. She is not very active. She looks around more...

Image

The back of her head again.
Image

10:05 Ruudi sends an inviting call - Alla out

Shouts can be heard.

Yes, her eyes are a little darker than Ruudi's. Sometimes it can be seen.
