Re: My visit to Estonia ~ May 2013
In July, only 8 weeks after my first visit, I had the chance to go again for one week to Estonia. I have updated my album with photos from this visit.

If you love old towns, Spatz, Tallinn is great!
Food - I think not much different from German food, people like the same things, like potatoe salad, pork, sausages ... and lots of everything!
A funny little story on the side - we were joking before I went for the first time that my Estonian vocabulary mainly consists of bird names, but I did not know any food names. So I joked I will order "stewed Kalakotka" and "fried Merikotka" and "Konnakotka pie" ... and then in one of the first Estonian restaurants I was taken to, they had, of all things, "Kotka cutlet" on the menu. Of course I had to have, after I recovered from laughing. And ... don't worry, the "Kotka" of the cutlet had been a chicken before turning kotka!

What a wonderful trip you had. Thank you for sharing your photos of a wonderful country and the capital Tallin, with such beautiful buildings & gardens
I hear Robbie Willams gave a great concert last night in the open-air theatre in Tallin The concert was transmitted live in one of our cinemas to the delight of his fans.

You're welcome. I hope it is not getting boring.
Macdoum, for Robbie Williams "Visit Estonia" made a video to show where he had the concert - it was nice to see so many known places
But I have preferred the "Öölaulupidu Järjepidevus" - the Tartu Night Song Festival, celebrating 25 years of "Singing Revolution" which took place the evening before. Via internet it was possible to watch the concert until past 1 PM.

Felis,I have always loved the Song Festival,I missed it this time Juta usually tells us when its on. I have sometimes been quite overwhelmed from the strong emotion we feel from the singers. Its a wonderful feeling.
Re;Robbie Williams, according to the newspaper that filmed visit to Estonia was shown in the cinema too, before his concert.

On the day of Estonian Birthday there are lots of extracts here;

This is a song from the singing revolution..

It makes me cry. Kuremari has put a translation there if you want to learn more.
Felis, you have touched the heart of Estonia, you can understand,I'm sure.

Yes, I have really fallen in love with this country. I have already put some of the music on my MP3 player to listen to.
(And Tõnis Mägi is among them)

It wasn´t Song Festival yet. It was one evening event. Song Festival will be next year in the beginning of July.
I was at Robbie Williams concert which was great, it was broadcasted to many Cinemas in Europe live.
